I run with bootcamp, working just fine. Got parallel desktop if I wanna quickly use microsoft access without needing to reboot. I need to re-activate my windows 8.

Hope a more reliable bootcamp come out for win8, my wifi working weird too.

Added on December 17, 2012, 10:36 pmDoes anyone know how many times you can activate a legit Parallels serial number before it gets blacklisted? I've already activated on 2 of my Macs and I have 2 more Macs that I'd like to install it on. All on the same IP.

Guys, I've recently have this issue when every time when I used bootcamp and switched back to OSX... I won't have any sound, the volume icon on the top right is disabled...

user posted image

I have to restart OSX one more time before I could have any sound, it's really annoying... Anyone know how to solve this? So for all I did was, reset my PRAM and it did not help...

I'm using the non-retina 2012 15" MBP btw...

You can do it yourself.

http://support.apple.com/manuals/#bootcamp

Just follow the guide that corresponds to the OS you're running.

Yeah, as RAMChYLD said, it's pretty easy. I did it by just following the instructions. Make sure you have a usb drive with enough space for your OS.

Hello to all sifus,

I have a question to ask pertaining to Windows 8 installation via BootCamp. As recommended in previous thread, installation can be found *here*. However, does it work the same as Windows 8? sweat.gif

In the guide, mentioned :-

To install Windows 7 with a installation disc, you need the following:

- A built-in optical disc drive or a compatible external optical drive. <-- The newer MBP version has SuperDrive. Is it the same as Optical Drive?

- An installation disc with Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, or Ultimate
You must use a single full-install Windows installation disc. You cannot use an
upgrade version of Windows. <-- Roughly how much will Win8 CD cost? unsure.gif (Or should I just stick with Win7?)

- A blank CD or DVD, or an external drive formatted as MS-DOS (FAT). <-- Can I use thumbdrive?

SuperDrive is optical drive.
You can use thumbdrive.
