straight to the Q :
Im currently using bootcamp on my mbp..and am about to install PD5. Would it be a problem if install it w/o removing the bootcamp partition at the first place?
next, if im using PD to virtually operates win7, what about the internet connection? can it connect thru mac internet connection?

p.s. : Sorry for the stupid question..haha

no problem. you'll have a choice of installing a fresh windows system, or use ur bootcamp system as a virtual machine.

n yeap, it'll use ur mac's internet connection to go online. dun have to configure anything, no need to install any drivers

I read somewhere that you need a second activation key from microsoft if we want to use our bootcamp system as a virtual machine. Is it true?

that's because ur windows7 on PD5 is a virtual machine. it doesnt even know what GPU u have, much less actually taking advantage of it. another thing is that u're using more resources to run two OS at once

for performance, bootcamp is the way. i guess u need to go reinstall bootcamp again to play ur games

mmm..if to compare betw OSX w/o bootcamp and OSX with bootcamp, does it has any issue in terms of performance?

Where can i adjust the scroll gesture on my virtual win7? The scroll is too fast hahhaha..

btw..i use PD5 with win7 just to integrate with ms outlook only..hhehehe

both xp n 7 are good. im not sure how's the new drivers for windows7 is performing though

OSX w/o or w/ bootcamp got no difference, unless ur HDD is almost full.

office 2011 for mac will include a proper outlook client, so u wont need PD anymore hehe

yeah..it's kinda hard to use exchange mail on Mail though. Entourage sucks with all the security features and what not.
But if office 2011 enhances the problems i had..then i would not need PD anymore...hahhaha but still need to use bootcamp for gaming.hhehehe

btw bro..how did u manage the delete function on outlook thru PD5? the delete func tend to act like Backspace function rite..and it wont remove the item we wanted. Instead of using the fn+delete to remove it..are u using that too or u hv a better way?

Added on June 3, 2010, 11:02 pmsomething went wrong..i installed xp sp3 on bootcamp. when the system restarts it wont go to OSX instead of to XP straight ahead. i had to hold option until the MACINTOSH HD and WINDOWS appeared to choose OSX. i had no prob b4 this using win7 on bootcamp. why is that happening? what did i do wrong? can someone help me on this..i already restore the partition into single partition but the problem wasnt solved. Im using Macbook white unibody late 2009 version.
Yesterday i used bootcamp to install win7 64bit.
I partitioned 100GB from 250GB total HD.
Anyway i failed the installation. So, i dun bother it, leave it alone, will get win XP on it.
I saw the partitioned 100GB was full of win7 files, so i itchy and format the partition.
Now, i gt my XP. When i run bootcamp again, it pops up this:

The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition.
The startup disk must be formatted as a single Mac OS Extended (Journaled) volume or already partitioned by Boot Camp Assistant for installing Windows.

What can i do now?
Help >.<

Boot in Mac OS X. Used Boot Camp Assistant to remove windows partition and Windows then recreate back partition for windows and install back windows xp. It will boot normally back again.
