Does anyone here understands how codeshare flights in Malaysia Airline works? Like how do you book them? For example, its easier for me to fly from KL to Phuket to Bangkok to KL rather than Kl - Phuket - KL - Bangkok - KL

You go MAS website (or cheaptickets.com, etc etc) and input 'multi city itinerary' (or something like that). Then you book 3 flights like you mentioned. If MAS doesn't fly any of the legs but has codeshares, it will still give you a "MHxxxx" flight number and mention somewhere "codeshare by Bangkok Airways" that means u pay MAS but that leg it will book you on bangkok airways flight.

Guys,

Need opinion. Is it really necessary to buy MHInsure? From the policy, looks like very hard to claim also. So many restrictions. But worried a bit if don't buy. Anyone got experience on this, share pls.

Thanks smile.gif

Normally I buy proper travel insurance and ignore the airline one.

Very cheap. Normal price around 3k.
If Melbourne, can check emirates.
If Brisbane, can check Etihad.
Sometimes they give cheaper than MAS.
