nice shot. hehe.
well, there are 3, the one you shot is the left? and the other would be in front, quite visible behind the bumper, and the 3rd is at your firewall side.

that small crack might be the cause, since the vibration is occasional. but to try a cheaper way to solve vibration, do your balancing again if its been a while since.

Just went to the mechanic which i often visit, he test it by using 1st gear and reverse gear by sudden pressing the trottle and i can see the engine seems like want to twist out of the car. The guy said 3 mounting are broken, as what i expected from a 16 years old car which never change mounting. This is the price he quoted.
3 original mounting=RM260
labour fee=RM180
So total is RM440

He say need whole day to do the change since need to drop engine. So is this price reasonable?

Let us know the 'feel' of the car once you get the mounts done smile.gif

Anyway do you guys know how to remove the fenders? My car got dimples on both sides, all caused by bikes sad.gif

Yep, the front ones. They look soft enought for me to push out those dents from the other side laugh.gif

Orignal parts is OK but labour, isn't it a bit steep? They don't pluck the engine out actually, they just use crocodile jacks to push it from below so it is just enough to change the particular mounting they are working on and then the next one and so on. hmm.gif

Added on May 29, 2011, 6:12 pmMy driver side power window was jammed and refused to shut. There was a whirring sound meaning the motor is OK so I took out the whole assembly. The edges are sharp and I bruised myself on the edges just to unscrew a nut inside. I found out that the motor is jammed shut, meaning it is not repairable. I was not satisfied because it is still a working motor. I pry it carefully and found out that there was a C-clip holding the whole rotating assembly which turns the cog for the assembly. The C-clip came out and I installed it back and close back the cover and used plier to jam back the cover.

It's working now but not so smoothly but I want to shut off the auto close or open function. This function is only on the driver side but I want it to work like the passenger side. I off means it stop and press only it move. Anybody here knows where the relay or circuit is to disable this auto function. I don't like it anyway. Anyone? hmm.gif

diff mechanic diff method i guess.. this one jack up the whole car and the engine is plucked out from bottom.. and the firewall side of mounting quite hard to remove.. anyway i haven send to change the mounting.. still asking for the cheapest and yet reliable mechanic and parts..

A. better if u standby 5k. depends on wear and tear parts and luck.
B. EX5! haha..but seriously DOHC L5 or L6 with manual gearbox but spare parts a bit expensive
C. more or less same for 1 and second gear after that manual gearbox will hav advantage.

just my 2 cents. mayb other wan to share their experience?

hmm.. hardly see any auto gear box with turbo charged.. my friend modded his kancil with L2 engine combine with a good manual gearbox which can make the car achieve 160km/h easily.. all i can say is manual gear box is easily customizeable and cheaper.. smile.gif

weight is the same. l2 engine is using fuel injection and have more valves giving better fuel economy.

I noticed my driver door shakes everytime I hit a bump, so I opened the door as wide as I could, and shook the door vertically. The door is not sagging, but the door can wriggle upwards - which is probably the reason why the door shakes during driving.

Anyone tried a DIY solution or I'll have to go to a body works shop for this?
