Anyone here remember whats the price of iPhone 2G (Original) when if first came out , and the price of iPhone 3G when it first came out?
Now I'm deciding to get one iphone 3G with a price of only RM2.4k.
What I'm concern now is that if the
new iPhone come out again, it will be sold for a very higher price. The iphone 3G will also be stop producing.
I'm afraid if i do not buy the iphone now, i'll regret..>_<
adui, here comes another those "type" individuals again. honestly, at this rate of being regretful over your purchases, you may as well don't purchase anything related to technology.
always always always scout for items according to your needs! we cannot reiterate this more; if you feel that the currently existing iPhone is sufficient for your usage now, then just purchase it. don't go all optimistic that maxis will definitely bring the new one for the local consumption et cetera.
alright putting my rants aside, i will attempt to answer your first few questions then.
1. it is always difficult to determine the actual price of the first generation iPhone as it was never meant to be sold out of contract (aka pre-paid versions). hence there is always a massive fluctuation in price tags; between those who purchased directly from the states and from local vendors.
2. errm... the statement underlined is pretty much self-explanatory, isn't it?

The iPhones has stayed their price till now. For example, the NZ 16GB iPhone 3G, was NZD1129, and still is NZD1129 now. What bloated the price was unscrupulous sellers, particularly a certain trollish Mac-related seller around these parts of the forum( the guys who kept up with my history with the
RM2-million seller here knows who I mean) , to artifically bump up the price to unreasonable levels, just because "you cannot get it here, other than through limited channels". My Tumpang thread was a direct response to these cut-throat arseholes who were pissed off when I provided an option to get the iPhone 3G at retail price, and not at RM4,500-RM5,000. YES, they are that crazily priced, thanks to these greedy bastards.
Check my post history on how that Tumpang thread ends. If conditions are right, I will be doing the same
Tumpang thread again, only this time, a little more well-worded, so that the
authorities here wont classify it as another "sale" or "trading-related" thread.

ho ho ho
very well then, you guys might want to be nicer to me (and probably to stringfellow as well, since he can arrange for the iPhones to be transported out of australia for prospective buyers) since i'm here *cough cough*
on the other hand, you might wanna keep it low profile as well, as we don't want to hassle davidgary73 and leave him in dilemma as well!
