Next: accessories. There are thousands of accessories that work great with iPods and iPhones. Here's a popular one, a speaker
With 3.0, we're going to enable accessory developers to build custom apps that talk directly to that hardware. Here's an example -- an FM transmitter. With 3.0, the dev can build a custom app that pairs up with it, and automatically finds the right station and tunes it in." |

i am personally very sorry for these ppl r frustrated or dun want apple 2 release a new product when they just bought one...
it is damn pathetic man... improvement in technology shud be cherished n supported... a new iphone comes out, if u hv da money n means to get it, go for it... dun ''hope for da price to go down a little bit then i'll buy it..'' if u cant buy it now, they be ready for da next one or make certain arrangements to keep up... kudos to string, nokia n da others who r supporting tis good cause... thr is a need for awareness among forumers here n u guys r doing a good job creating in ur own simple ways... |

QUOTE(sHin0bi @ Apr 7 2009, 08:18 AM) i was thinking of installing 3.0 beta 2 with Icy installer. i'd vote for not to do it...downloaded and still thinking... to do it or not to do it unless if u bought da dev kit.... on another note... Next-Generation iPhone Theoretically Capable of FM Radio Reception and Transmission? QUOTE Over the weekend, hints of several additional features for the next-generation iPhone were revealed. Among them was the discovery that text strings in the iPhone OS 3.0 software reference a new Broadcom wireless chip, BCM4329, which supports 802.11n wireless connectivity. In digging through the specs for the chip, 9 to 5 Mac has discovered that it also supports both reception and transmission of FM radio signals. But they neglected to mention that it also adds the ability to receive and send (the previous model could only receive) information through FM radio signals which theoretically could be used to broadcast sound into car stereos..without external adapters. It could also be used to pick up FM radio music, news and sports broadcasts on their iPhones and even, in August, on iPods. Currently the FM reciever is only used to pick up communications from the Nike+ peripheral. The finding, however, doesn't mean that Apple will necessarily enable these features in the new iPhone. Apple has certainly been known not to enable all features their hardware is capable of, and FM reception/transmission is one that have shown no interest in supporting in the past. |

QUOTE(fyire @ Apr 7 2009, 11:23 PM) Well, its call a dev preview and beta for a reason. I won't even want to put it on the device I use on an everyday basis. sorry bro...din noe u were a dev...many ppl here r not but upgrading to 3.0. my bad. sorry on a side note... iPhone Video Recording Interface, Digital Compass, Voice Control and Auto-Focus Camera QUOTE Since the release of Apple's iPhone 3.0 beta firmware, users have been scouring the configuration files looking for evidence of future iPhone capabilities. The possibility of video recording has seemed increasingly certain with files for video uploading and editing having been discovered. A new finding, however, should put to rest any doubts about whether or not Apple is planning to include video recording in future iPhones. This screenshot, which was discovered in the latest iPhone 3.0 beta, shows the interface Apple will provide for video recording: ![]() Added on April 8, 2009, 2:26 amNext-Generation iPhone Theoretically Capable of FM Radio Reception and Transmission?
