anyone update to firmware 3.0 beta 2 oride ??

I found the download files but I am not keen of doing it I'm not sure if there's a process to unlock?

But for now I'm already very satisfied with my current iphone 3g.. it's got almost all the functions I require and with the upcoming 3.0 I don't think this phone lacks anything else except for video recording (which I believe is not a hardware limitation.. apple should be able to release an app or fix for it right?).

Maybe 5MP for main camera and 3.2 for front.

One improvement I truly hope they will implement is the battery life. I like to surf on the go. Sometimes journeys are pretty boring. And I would want it not by turning off 3G. EDGE is slow. I know it's hard to do that given that Apple has to retain its dimensions and weight as close as possible to the preceding model.

But then again, improvements to a new model are weaknesses in the previous model.

Over the weekend, hints of several additional features for the next-generation iPhone were revealed. Among them was the discovery that text strings in the iPhone OS 3.0 software reference a new Broadcom wireless chip, BCM4329, which supports 802.11n wireless connectivity. In digging through the specs for the chip, 9 to 5 Mac has discovered that it also supports both reception and transmission of FM radio signals.

But they neglected to mention that it also adds the ability to receive and send (the previous model could only receive) information through FM radio signals which theoretically could be used to broadcast sound into car stereos..without external adapters. It could also be used to pick up FM radio music, news and sports broadcasts on their iPhones and even, in August, on iPods. Currently the FM reciever is only used to pick up communications from the Nike+ peripheral.
The finding, however, doesn't mean that Apple will necessarily enable these features in the new iPhone. Apple has certainly been known not to enable all features their hardware is capable of, and FM reception/transmission is one that have shown no interest in supporting in the past.

Oh Apple, what are you up to? Just like we saw right around this time last year in preparation for Apple's new iPhone 3G and updated iPod touch, Apple is placing huge orders of NAND chips thereby threatening the supply in demand by other tier-one vendors. This time we've got DigiTimes confirming earlier reports that Apple is cornering the market on flash memory -- specifically, the Taiwanese rumor rag is reporting orders of "100 million 8Gb (8 gigabit, not gigabyte) NAND flash chips mostly with Samsung Electronics." That's twice the size of the order reported last year. The tiny memory chips are then recombined during manufacturing into the larger 16GB, 32GB, and so on capacities we expect to find in our handheld consumer electronics. Anyone still doubting new Apple handhelds in June?
