Stringfellow's earlier points strike a chord.... on many occasions I have seen sellers selling silicon snake oils to prospective customers, and on many equal occasions they were many kind souls who may have tried to out the jargon talk wool from the customers eyes and be mercilessly buried by the sellers for "mengacau my bread and butter". Ironically, they were some buyers who would support the sellers as well... !?!?

So in this manner, even if the seller sells something above the market price, or that magic rock doesnt really cure your cancer OR that cream doesn't make ur mamaries bigger, any attempt by anyone to say the contrary will be beaten mercilessly and nary a support will be lifted from the moderators -- cos its their rice bowl for FRACK sake!

Never mind fair price for both parties and never mind the bollocks.

So StringFellow, do what you do and caveat emptor to the poor souls...

To make this rant relevant...oh yea, I'll need to relieve my original New York iPhone, so its Needs like to meet Wants.

3 iPhones? What do you think?

QUOTE
The Commercial Times has thrown us a curve: they're now saying that the next-gen iPhone will have three models, one of which could be a budget, EDGE-only throwback.

Expected in June, the models are said to line up as follows: a 2.75G (which Slashgear interprets as EDGE) version, an upgraded 3G version and a China-oriented model, possibly to support a Chinese CDMA carrier. The mention of EDGE would seem to indicate that one of these models will be a budget version, but not necessarily a smaller one—the report makes sure to say that there won't be an iPhone Nano. It goes on to say that component suppliers are reporting a first run of four million for the combined handsets, which is a lot, but not out of the question.

The obvious surprise here, though, is that EDGE phone. To revert to a waning network standard a full year after consciously switching from it doesn't seem very Apple. That said, a fully subsidized iPhone paired with a cheaper data plan could tap an entirely new market for the company, drawing millions more users to the lucrative App Store/iTunes fold. Strange, yeah, but this shouldn't be ruled out—the Commercial Times has a solid record on Apple hardware rumors.

well, it looks quite imposible to be done if it still includes the best functions such as camera/video camera.

plus, if its made out of non-metal material...it can be crack like a piece of cracker.

honestly I won't be surprised at all if apple comes up with multiple versions of the iPhone to cater for those who might not need all the extras. It'll be interesting to see what's coming up next. Can't wait. rclxms.gif

Hopefully Apple will use a harder and resistant material that protects the iphone in terms of scratch resistant and shock resistant.

But....I think it will be a dream as Apple also wants to provide industrial benefits to other organizations such as screen protector company , etc.

Rumour:

Ingredients List for Apple’s New iPhone Published

Normally DigiTimes is content to just let the information leak out in a slow but steady stream leading up to the WWDC, but this time the Taiwanese news and rumors site has completely given up the goat in one fell swoop, instead of pacing themselves. They’ve published a list of various part makers for the upcoming iPhone revision from Apple, in a convenient, easy-to-digest table form no less. They’ve done everything but build the thing, basically.

As was previously reported, Samsung and Toshiba will be supplying the massive volumes of NAND flash required for the “iPhone 3.0”, and OmniVision will provide the 3.2-megapixel CMOS image sensor for the new iPhone camera. Missing from the list of components is that key ingredient, the processor(s?). The components are meant to be assembled into an initial order of 5 million iPhones and shipped by May 2009, which would give Apple ample buffer time to get things ready for WWDC on June 7.

DigiTimes may not have a perfect track record when it comes to Apple rumors, but at this point the amount of evidence piled up on the side of a new iPhone is pretty much insurmountable. In fact, the nature of the list revealed yesterday by DigiTimes seems to suggest that Apple is not unaware that supplier details are being leaked, and probably supports some evidence being spread around in order to build consumer anticipation for the new device. The key omission of information regarding the most hotly anticipated hardware component, the CPU, which some speculate could be dual-core, and the rumored GPU indicates to me that Apple is very much in control of what information is and isn’t made available for public consumption.

Let's see.

2009 + 2 year contract in US = 2011 which incidentally is the year AT&T is looking for extension of exclusivity. Why would AT&T be so desperate to extent to 2011 if there aren't a NEW IPHONE NEXT-GEN MODEL lurking around the corner?

Brace yourselves, people.........2009 will be glorious!

If you wana sell your 3G Iphone , its better to sell it quick now.

When the new iphone really comes out, no one's gonna buy from you... unless you sell it desperately low in price or if people really wants 3G only.

not really... when the new iphone is out it might cost a bomb maybe around 4k again, so i guess the 2nd hand iphone 3g price wont sink so much la..cos not everyone can afford or willing to buy a phone that kinda price..

Well if u had heard about the rumor, there might be a few models coming out for iphone.
If the rumors are true, the price of coming iphone may be lower or higher depending of models.
And with the support of rumors the coming iphone, it may also have newer devices such as 3mp camera, etc or new processor. And of course, more functions...

If you ask me, i'll rather go buy a new iphone with double the functions rather than a secondhand.

Anyway, its her final choice sell or not to sell. Its her money though.

Please notice that there is always a risk in sell and buy industry.

u sell now also rugi.. u sell later also rugi.. better sell later. if u say sell later will cause u more rugi, then just take it as depreciation cost uf ur phone between now and let say 3-4 months..

while we're very sure the new iPhone will be announced in june/july, we're not sure when we can have it officially in m'sia.

Well, electronics are always like this. No matter it is a phone , television, lcd , graphic card, radio, etc. the price will always drop following the time.

The best solution are :
1. After buying the electronic, shut our eyes and never compare prices of the future with the past.
2. After buying. Always keep as remembrance. Never sell it.
3. Admit the truth. This is ELECTRONICS.

for me, since i just bought it last year december, if i sell now i will lose rm400 - 500, why wanna sell if its still new and working perfectly fine rite. And just to rugi that kind of money for the latest iphone (which we dont even know what is the official spec/technology of the phone) kinda risky le.. hehe later sell edi and they announce the new iphone with only minor revamp/upgrade like extra 1 or 2 camera.. etc really bang ball..better wait and survey market 1st before making decision.. hehe
