"I just discovered this...go to the spotlight search settings and disable everything...now go to the desktop and notice there is no more lag when sliding to the right (spotlight)...but oddly enough all the search results are still returned!!!

EDIT: I just ran another test – I brought my system memory down to only 3 megs (I installed a memory checking app) by opening and closing a lot of apps and it's still really smooth!!!"

HK iPhones has always been officially unlocked version. What that page shows is what is left of the 3G model. HK will be launching at the same time as Malaysia.

Olo boss,

Does the Sony DRC-BT15 support iPod touch 1st gen? Coz I see it comes with a receiver. How much does it cost eh and where did you get it from?
*
i think u sudah salah faham.
BT15 is the receiver not transmitter la bro.
so if ur source has bluetooth...BT15 can pick up the signal and relay the sound to ur fav headphone.
thats all.
but if ur source has no bluetooth...nothing can be done. wink.gif
and no...since ipod touch 1st gen has no bluetooth support.
only 2nd gen can be upgraded with OS 3.0 to gain A2DP.

i got it from sony style klcc for 299.

Push notification doesnt work on my iPhone 2G (3.0)
I allowed it on TTR 2.6 and enabled alerts in my settings.
But when i challenged my iPhone using iTouch.
I wont be notified, both on home screen and slide to unlock screen.

But it worked when I challenged iTouch using my iPhone.
Any ideas?

Does TTR employs a sign-in account? If it does, then if you sign in into the same account into both your iPhone and iPod touch, the push notification for challenge will not work, because.....well, you are challenging yourself?

@blugear,
Please go to Troubleshooting at http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1061070 for information on the APN. Once you've created the fake APN, U should be able to disable Edge.

Yea, I googled it jus now and it seems like if I want to use it on the iPod touch 1st gen, I'll hv to purchase an extra transmitter in order to use it xD Thxs anyway.

LOL, pretty much sooner or later, you'll end up like me, and learn to selectively "butakan mata" to these repeat questions. It's a dirty job, but someone has got to teach these newbies to search harder. The answers are already provided in the pinned threads, or what is already common knowledge. I praise you for your endless well of patience as well. tongue.gif

Next line of thought would be the connection. Are both connected to the net? And what is the push notification is about? A message about someone challenging you in the game? Maybe there's a delay in pushing that notification over. Can be a lot of things, but I'll give Apple the benefit of the doubt and give them a chance to give this feature some time before it matures.

"Holy crap, this thing is fast!"

QUOTE
According to Pasco, the trend was "starkly apparent."  The iPhone 3G S ran Plasma about twice as fast as the 2G iPod touch in every test.  It's worth noting that the application is only running OpenGL ES 1.1 code and has not been modified to take advantage of any of the improvements in OpenGL ES 2.0, an API no previous member of the iPhone family can utilize.

In the CPU tests, the 3G S showed itself to be around 20% faster than the 2G touch.  A notable improvement, but based on these tests, it would seem that the real benefit to game developers will come from the new unit's PowerVR SGX. Of course, the real test of the iPhone 3G S will come as games begin to support the Open GL ES 2.0 programmable pipeline.

Yeah connected.
TTR 2.6's push notification is merely about challenges between players.
Wondering how cool it would be if I get push notification for skype, IM, facebook, TTR 2.6 and others.
My phone will be vibrating all the way -______-

For TTR 2.6
You still get notifications when you run the app,
Even if you didnt get notified from Apple.

On iPhone, YES. On iTouch 2G, Not really.
Apart from that,
Not just the apps (a few, some are better),
but the transition when you go from home screen to an app (any),
as well as when you quite from one screen to another.

lags, lags & LAGS!

Also, it lags a little when you SMS in LANDSCAPE.
Especially when you tap back to the main messaging screen after texting someone in LANDSCAPE mode.

I think 3.1 is releasing soon.

Someone earlier in this thread said his battery life seems shorter with 3.0, and I agree.

Since upgrading I've noticed battery drains quicker. Today I hardly used my phone at all, just some sms, some facebook'ing & twittering, (as far as I can tell) no different from normal, yet batt life is at ~25% --> with this kind of usage normally it should be closer to 50%.

I heard of the battery issue.
One thing I dont like about facebook is that when you view too many photos,
it JAMS! And you gotta force quit and even reset. ISH

are you judging this by looking at the battery bar?

actually, i think still the same, but the battery bar more precise?
I remember 2.2.1, when fully charge, u can see the bar on full for quite some while
but it suddenly start to drop quite fast.
So we not really sure that, the battery life is shorter, or the battery indicator is more precise?
