if OS 3.0 upgraded, means the iphone need to jailbreak again right? sorry, I'm not so savvy in this kind.
*
yes, wee need to jailbreak it if you want to put cydia/icy/ultrasn0w in your phone. if not you also can use it normally without any problem..

If you have that accessory, it should work. The update is universal and with features intact provided you have the right hardware. For example, the iPhone 3G lack certain hardware from 3G[S] so the latter's feature will not show.

Anyway I thought this 3.0 release is automated. I would expect they release the gates after 12 midnight. tongue.gif What is taking them so long?

All apps from Cydia has to be compatible with 3.0 before you can install. Doing a backup would be useless as all apps are only for 2.2.1.

I reackon so mate. I would sure love to use the volume function as many of us do. Well, the only way to try is to have iPhone 3GS users to try it out on a 2G/3G iPhone and feedback to us if the volume function is functional.

there are a lot of ways to backup the cydia application, you can use "CYDER" to backup your cydia application.
