i m using i-value 100... currently i m download data more than 100M but today i check my unbil amount it show RM400++ what the F***

advance payment?

I don't think it's the advance payment because we've already paid while getting the phone. Maybe it comes from your sms/call charges? Better call Maxis and ask before it goes higher/more.

if i were to make a wild guess here, it will be rebated back into your account at the end of the billing month.

i'm only speculating based on my previous usage of their family plan package. all calls/texts/video calls to the members will still be charged normally and pro rota.

I didn't use for call just use for data so far cox this is my 2nd line just now called maxis they said now still donno hv to wait til bill out oni can know wat actually happen. Just now I chk again the bill down back to RM2 something really a shock ya

It became RM2 because the previous usage has reached your bill cycle cutover and they will bill you accordingly.

no lah my bill due is on 13/4 i open the account not even one month mah so i suspect it's their system got some error... just now check bill up to date is RM4 something

so you are safe to surf the net with any device....

Bought myself 8GB Iphone from Maxis after parted with RM1910. My questions...if im connected to my Itunes via pc... my data charges for surfing and downloading itunes apps done via my pc connection right and not Maxis 3G? Second question... 500mb per month... exactly how much is 500mb??

2. if you don't tether the connection, 500mb is a lot.

So meaning that, i can actually use my celcom line to surf rite, provided that i set the apn manually...planning to buy iphone 3g and used my celcom line coz only pay rm50 for unlimited data (3.5g) and 10cent per minute...staff price....

Thank you So far after few days using it.. my data only circa less than 10MB... 500MB it seems to be sufficient for emails and limited surfing

Anyone knows any application that can check the network usage of 3G?

Home Screen > Settings > General > Usage > Cellular Network Data

Maybe ur number is recycle number from Maxis. Recycle number means ur number is reassign used number to new customer. This issues is always happened if the previous users infor including $ doesn't signed up well by Telco.

let say if i wanted to get i3g on iValue 1 on the 24 months contract and myself is a Maxis postpaid user that used for a year plus.

So, how much do i need to pay upon collecting the i3g 8Gb?
Is it RM1510 only?

just need some clarification. if i am an existing maxis post paid subscriber, the advance payment of RM 200 will be deducted from my bill for the first 5 months of the RM 100 contract right? which means i will pay RM 60 per month for the 1st 5 months right?

iPhone 3G will automatic go online sometime without your notice, try to go to Settings - General - Usage .... check how many MB you have used so far... very accurately...

RM0.01/KB ... 1MB = RM10.00 ... my wife just complain to me her phone bill shoot up immediately after 1 week she using my newly bought iPhone 3G... I registered iValue RM250 on my maxis line but not her maxis line, that's why she being charged whenever iPhone 3G go online... currently the usage shown 4MB and already charged her account RM40.00+...

My wife just called 123 to cancel her 3G service since she seldom use that service, she only like the sleek design of iPhone and the iPod feature only...

while myself has the 2GB data usage because of signed up on this iValue RM250... everyday surf net on my HTC HD also won't hit that limit... hehe...

For your information, the Advance Payment already waived off by Maxis ... I got my iPhone 3G without the need of paying the advance payment... You can call Maxis 123 to confirm...

Hey buddy,

Did u download the data using iPhone or other 3G phone. I was being told by the salesman that the data package ties ONLY to iPhone but I reconfirm TWICE with other Maxis personel, one the person who activates my iPhone and another one, the call center, they both said that the data package can be used in other fone as long as it's a 3G fone. I tried surfing web with other 3G fone and I was being charged under OUTSTANDING BILL. The outstanding bill is charged above the RM100 commitment per month, can only know when the bill comes.

a) Salesman - data package ONLY for iPHone for RM100 commitment. If use other fone, it will charge RM5 per MB.

b) Maxis iPhone Activator and Call Center Personel - data package of RM100 commitment can be used on any other 3G fones. Over 500mb of data, Rm5 per MB will be charged.

So I dunno which is true now, A or B.

Can you please confirm that you can use the iValue package on other hardware (other 3G fone) and not being charged extra? Look at my previous message. Reason why I ask so much is because I got the package because of the fone, like yr wife but I do not want the data package, hence I passed the line to my wife to surf web on my LG-KS20. I only want the fone. So far, the fone is great!

If this so, then getting iphone 3g kinda cheap. except that bound to 2 years contract.

How about the usage?
Im a heavy SMSer. Is the monthly commintment included smses and normal calls, like the normal maxis postpaid plan (Value 50)?

Can anyone confirm this?
