Thanks bro amirsubhi. I've called Maxis a while back and the guy also told me it's allowed. I guess if that's the case then it shouldn't be a problem to go for the RM100 commitment plan. I believe the way it works is use up all 333 mins (free) then we will be charged accordingly for the Extra Ten numbers.

I just got my iphone 3G by port-in to maxis value plus 80 with 6 months contract. The salesgirl advised me not to insert any telco simcard inside my iphone and sync to itunes within this contract period coz it will void the warranty. She said better i maintain and stay with maxis for the next 6 months so that my iphone still covered by the 12 months limited warranty.

It that true?

You pay RM100 every month and you get 333 mins (to any network) and 500MB data usage FREE. I don't think it's segregated by RM50 each, etc.

I think it's quite a lot and it should be more than enough to use.

I think it wouldn't be worth it because Iphone without data package is as good as a dead Iphone. If you're paying per usage, might as well opt for iValue1 rolleyes.gif

i assume you meant the 16GB right? pay RM2960 upfront for the phone then RM80 monthly for 6 months, which includes free 500MB data usage for 6 months.

There is an installment plan but it's not worth it because they charge you 5% of the amount you're paying upfront. Moreover, you can only use CIMB, Maybank and Public Bank for installment.

I still don't get it about his iPhone Maxis plan..

Assume I want 16 Gb iPhone for iValue 1 :-
1) RM 100 x 12 + RM 2290 + RM 200 (advance)= Rm 3690

OR

2) RM 2290 - RM 100 x 12 - RM 200 = RM 890

After 12 months, all I need to pay RM 890 for the balance? Is it for the calculation 1), total payment I need to pay is RM 3690? Can someone clear it for me? biggrin.gif

I wish i read ur post earlier.. just came back from maxis centre at ipoh..

1st, i call maxis centre about 11 am today asking about iphone.. i ask the operator about the ivalue plan cuz i didnt understand.. i stated both of my calculation.. but she said the 2nd one is correct.. my fren at kl also said that 2nd calculation is correct because one of the promoter said like that to her..

so im SOOOO EXCITED to get my iPhone at ipoh.. i quickly go to ipoh after that, i ask the receptionist about the iphone.. he said the 1st calculation is correct.. suddenly i became consfused.. cuz before this the operator said the 2nd is correct.. but nvm, i call once again maxis centre..

and this time the other operator to pick it up.. i need to wait about 7 minutes just to talk to the operator (bad services or there is no one how expert bout the ivalue plan?) she said the 1st calculation.. aih.. im dissapointed.. haha

im not sure whether the maxis staff is really know bout this plan.. i skip my classes juz go to ipoh n ask bout the iphone.. lol

it sucks isnt it? biggrin.gif
