the HD4890 really made me missed my HD2900XT, it's hotter, it's "hotter", it's heavier... what i mean hot is... it's HOT

for temperature wise... not much difference compared to HD4870... used to be @51°C (idle), 60°C (load), but on this HD4890 i got temperature reading 56°C on idle whilst on load is 67°C... the fan speed wise, my favourite speed... 65% tongue.gif

Well... I'm not(will be buying in 4890.. countdown 12 days XD). Sadly, not all games support it. I don't know why developers don't. Dx10.1 increases performance not disable anything like PhysX does sad.gif .

For normal users that do not tweak voltages, a cost-down version of the 4890 is coming.

10-20USD cheaper (260+ territory?), but probably won't fly so high on water cooling. No digital power regulation (like GTX 275) so you're back to board mods.

Well, I'm one of them. rclxms.gif
Will try it later.

EDIT: AFAIK,tweaking voltage will not covered in the warranty if the card died during the process right? I don't know why my friend kept saying that it's covered. Do anybody have experience or any info about this stuff. Thanks~

Well, 4890 is like 5 times faster then HD2900XT? lol
so the heat justify it, the faster the fps you want the more heat is needed
