The CL for my Alliance Visa Plat is same as my HSBC and UOB Visa Plat. Alliance Visa Plat has a pretty good tiered cash back but up to RM5000 only (something like max RM68+). I do tend to use my Alliance often as I get reward points on top of cash back.

Hello Gen-X, is the Alliance Visa Platinum rebate tiers like the Younique card? I just received mine today, actually I applied for Younique card, the card people called me and asked if I would prefer Platinum instead, I said yes (I thought it was Younique Platinum), but today I received the normal Alliance Visa Platinum instead... CL is 5K higher than what Citibank Platinum offered. Any disadvantages to this Alliance Visa Platinum? It has rebates and rewards points which do not expire, which was what I wanted originally with the Younique.

Yes, a couple of good promotion such as 8% cash rebate from public bank & 8x MR for amex card. Also look at JustOne card from Standard Chartered.

Which PB card is this? Looked around their website but couldn't find 8% cash rebate.

I have no experience dealing with them but an honest opinion, why risk getting yourself attached to a non-financial institution ? Get financial products from a reputable bank or financial institution however good their offers are. You just don't know what will happen to you in the future. You can get BT from any reputable banks in Malaysia.

Note : I agree that we shouldn't be promoting BT, cash advance or anything similar coz that's the beginning of a bad financial spiral. However, everyone need a good advice as what to do and what not to do when using cc. (or anything linked to it)

Alliance VISA Platinum rebates is only available for the 1st RM5k and no rebates will be given for retail use above RM5k. If you average out the tiers then the rebates are only 1.38% Apart than that, it is about the same just like any other Plat cc product. Oh yeah, if you are into the card designs - perhaps it is the ugliest Plat cards around but best cash rebates!

@jack2,
If I'm not mistaken, a forummer in the past has already cautioned the AmBank cash rebate is up to RMX (RM100,000) if I'm not mistaken so perhaps it's oredi been utilised.

Am not too sure though so perhaps you could wait for someone else to respond.

@bingozero,
If the merchant you're getting it from is offering it to U then there's no need to contact the bank.

Hello,
Let say, now I swap a handphone, next month the statement show I have to pay full amount of the handphone no installment, so how do I know the merchant is cheating me while he swap my card, it is state on the receipt?
Thank you.

@bingozero,
If the shop you're buying from offers it, it will be on your invoice that you'll be making instalment payments.

@bingozero,
Act, I never made an instalment purchase for handphones before but when I did sign one for a friend for her HP laptop purchase, it was stated in the invoice biggrin.gif

I'm just assuming it'll be the same for other items. Nevertheless, U could always check with the shop you're making the purchase from.

I just call MBF to ask about their World Mastercard. Their CD says that now it only open to existing MBF card holder. They need at least RM200k per year of income & spending about RM100k per year to get an invite.
