No..even GTX275 with Pentiun D just like 9600Gt maybe worst like 8600GTS only
I got a live Example here: When I using Pentium D 3.2Ghz with 8800GTS 320mb playing that time biggest game Test Drive Unlimited with 1440x900 maximum all setting is 22FPS Average . When I SLI 8800GTS 320mb it is 27FPS Average
Now I change to C2D E6850 3Ghz single 8800GTS 320mb in 1440x900 is 32FPS average it was even higher than my old time SLI result Then I SLI it with my New C2D result is 40FPS Average.
On 3D mark 06 That Time PentiumD 3.2Ghz with 8800GTS 320mb in all default setting result is 64xx PentiumD 3.2Ghz with 8800GTS 320mb SLI in all default setting result is 72xx C2D E6850 3ghz with 8800GTS 320mb in all default setting result is 94xx C2D E6850 3Ghz with 8800GTS 320mb SLI in all default setting result is 12xxx
So you see the Big diffrent? Pentium D is too slow works well to 8 series card already...now you put GTX200 series work with that Old slow Pentium D....LOL....u will DOOM!!!

Added on July 9, 2009, 2:39 pmQUOTE(Xehanort @ Jul 9 2009, 01:07 PM) if ur mobo is LGA775 & latest core2duo/pentium dual core can fit it then no need change mobo altho my mobo can support C2D, but i think the problem i'm currently facing with my 8800gt shutting down when i play some games like Anno 1404, might have something to do with my mobo being unstable.
