Running SLi you got that PSU to run it or not? Plus Single card solution still the best for now.

guys, i just got my xfx 260gtx (standard) last saturday, using windows 7 rc and latest driver. no riva tuner is installed, just installed speedfan. However, from speedfan reading, i found out my gpu temperature stay around 57-62 celcius during idle and when i run NFS undercover, the temperatur increase to 79-81 celcius. Using thermaltake tsunami casing and no air-cond in my room. I just wonder the temperature is normal or not.

why spend another dollar when the cooler it came with is more than enough to cool it down.sure its noisy if u crank up the fan but that's a hell lot better than forking out another cent for a new cooler.

For me because I dislike having my room heat up and I dislike having noisy fan while playing as these would distract me from playing games, watching movies and so on.If I was back in Australia, I probably won't change the cooler, in fact I will run it at the lowest speed during winter to heat up the room. Cheaper than running a heater. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Jul 8 2009, 06:02 PM) For me because I dislike having my room heat up and I dislike having noisy fan while playing as these would distract me from playing games, watching movies and so on. i dont think it would work that way.If I was back in Australia, I probably won't change the cooler, in fact I will run it at the lowest speed during winter to heat up the room. Cheaper than running a heater. u should keep the fan running at its stock-configured speed. if wanna hat up ur room, oc ur gpu. more heat produced. the fan is just to keep heat away from the gpu circuits and chips. but the heat blown away will just add up to ur ambient temp/room temp. |
