Viewsonic or AOC. Both at 68x + HDMI cable. Dell 2409 is ok too but the seller from garage sales have no reply. T.T. Buying from dell is 759. More exp than both of them. |

AOC cause its specs pawns all other LCD's within the same price range on top of its good looks! Dell just looks boring lack of character.. however in order to compare picture quality all those lcd has to be put side by side... wonder any shop in lyn that display all these monitor together simultanouesly... Cheers!
just wondering any of those lcd u mentioned has pixel mapping?? This post has been edited by JasonJenn: Jun 11 2009, 05:26 PM |

actually if go to all it you will see the picture quality in dell/hp/aoc are same they were playing 720p transformers there but i still dont like aoc because of branding on default settings their color clarity/hue/saturation/brightness was really good.
asus vh242h rm 789, samsung 2494hs/p2350/p2370/2333sw all of them looked dark and less bright in default settings but you can change the settings no biggy. acer h233h and p205 their colours were really sharp and glowing they were playing final fantasy 13 trailer and it really looked very sharp and 3d to me. I really liked it. But i really hope acer does 24 inch or bigger for these models. of all the models i think another important thing to check is backlight bleed in the dark but no way to do that in lyp. because it should be turn the monitor on in black screen in the dark room. also for brightness i think pixel pitch and nits matter. the bigger the better for mits around 300 to 400 nits will give very good display, clarity and brightness. |

Tested my Dell S2409W and I'm very satisfy with it... no dead pixel, color is good but the default setting made the screen looks to bright, have to tone it down a bit...
Using PC, watching HD movies is excellent as some movies will show full screen in 16:9 ratio monitor compares with black bar on top and bottom for 16:10 screen. Gaming wise I have no problem playing World in Conflict in 1680x1050 resolution and everything still look sharp. For console gaming, this monitor is simply excellent. Everything is now full screen with correct ratio... last time using 16:10, xbox 360 shows black bar on top and bottom and PS3 with stretch ratio which makes everything seem longer. Ah... now I'm satisfy... and why I choose Dell? Due to limited choices at my place here, I would have to buy Dell or pay the same amount for Acer H2333H which spells ripped off in my mind. If I were given more choices in the first place like in KL, I may choose other brand if price is cheaper with same spec. This post has been edited by hezda: Jun 12 2009, 08:13 AM |

The xbox nxe still ok. the games are not because are upscale from 720p. only few games support 1080p. most are upscaled from 720p to 1080p.This post has been edited by deathninjax: Jun 12 2009, 09:14 AM |
