Hi guys. A quick question here. Is Viewsonic VX2433wm a good buy? I saw it around 75x+ at garage sales. How it perform compared to dell 2409 which is around 700+ as well?

Whats the difference between 24" and 23.3"? Will it effect much if the specs such as contrast and ms are similar? I'm using it for ps3 games and movies (maybe).

Thanks alot

So it means VX2433WM only have dvi-d and hdmi input and no analog input compared to 2409w izzit?

Apparently, seldom ppl use analog anymore unless they connect to a low end gc of a pc rite?

How does the 1" make a diff? Movies and Ps3 is more better to run in 1920x1080 / 16:9 isnt it?

Both 2433 and 2409 offer the same resolution. Mind to explain wat diff it may have? I'm getting blur. tongue.gif tongue.gif

Then the issue for viewsonic seems very bad. Its very troublesome to switch here n there and must ensure a vga device is available anytime.

Seems there isnt any other options for ps3 other than dell 2409.

I also wondering which to get.

Viewsonic or AOC. Both at 68x + HDMI cable.

Dell 2409 is ok too but the seller from garage sales have no reply. T.T. Buying from dell is 759. More exp than both of them.

I just got myself an AOC 2434. I cant compared it to other monitor because i dont own any. But, im satisfied with this AOC. Colors and pictures are brilliant. The touch buttons are fun. It looks nice to me and its priced reasonably at rm670 (included hdmi cable).

A good buy for me. ^^

Do u know how to adjust the height? i somehow fail to adjust the height. The thing seems hard and cant push as instructed by the manual.

Overall im satisfied with AOC. The only problem i have was it was too bright. Have to set to a lower brightness for text and internet viewing. Luckily they have some modes to switch around. The touch screen is cool. I've been switching it around my pc and ps3 all the time.

To adjust the height, you need to press the lock button located at the gear of the back LCD panel and adjust the height to your preference.
I play/adjust with it once only and never touch it after the height and angel suite me.

yea, i tried if many times but still failed to adjust the height. The lock button seems hard to push in. Am i doing the correct way? Assume i have a clear view of the lock button when the pole is sitting straight (not slanted (covered the button) as in the pic)

touch key? the on screen display setting are touch key type?
good is cool, bad is make LCD dirty..

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
yup. Its touch key type. U can just touch it slightly. Its sensitive. Also, the light of the setting dont light up unless ur finger is near. I guess it wont get dirt y dat easily. If so, the lcd frame is dark and u wont be noticing any prints on it except u purposely do so. They do provide a fabric for u to clean the frame as well.

Overall is a reasonable LCD with a good price. Cant ask for more ^^

Haha. Yeah. if u wanna get a convertor, straight convert it to HDMI unless u r using 2 device (PC and PS3) to connect to the monitor. That time u'll need to connect the PC to vga and PS3 to hdmi.

And yea, GC should come with the converter. At least my old 6600GT have it.

yeah.. same as mine as well, can unlock, but cant lock back, which doesnt matter much and even more convenience.
glad that you have it sorted out! enjoy the view!

How to unlock it? Pressing horizontally or vertically up or down? Does the unlock give any signal/sounds etc? Is the unlock mode distinguishable from the locked ?
