I think my speed just got capped. doh.gif

Added on March 4, 2009, 3:58 pm99% verified capped speed now. doh.gif
I'll monitor until tonight, if it continues like this, I'll downgrade my package tomorrow. Not going to give a damn anymore.

D68 and D98 both have 5GB policy... I rather use D68 then pay lesser. Any other time I'll use my campus fast WiFi.

how many days of uncapped speed u enjoyed this latest round?

if its confirmed capped, juz terminated it and subscribe a new D68, u will save more fr this strategy.....do your maths tongue.gif .........dun pay so fast this time around biggrin.gif

If you exceed 5GB, of course they'll just blame it on the 5GB policy. As for me, I only complaint when I haven't reach the limit. The strange thing is they never say about network upgrade when I complaint. Most of the time ,they say don't know what's wrong... They'll used words like "maybe" or "most likely"....

QUOTE(my44 @ Mar 4 2009, 07:43 PM)
Seems no changes after 2:30pm. By the way, if you have exceeded the 5GB allocation, will the Celcom customer service be able to tell you that when you call Celcom Careline?

I'm wondering, instead of making up stories like network upgrade or under maintenance, perhaps they should just say "You have exceeded the 5GB quota, that's why your internet is slow"

how many GB have u used so far, fruitie?

quite true that both packages have same fair usage policy kinda unfair. or more like unrealistic. D98 users normally used up 5GB in a week or two. dunno how long it last for heavier users. D98 should be given more quota. but i doubt it will be like DiGi, a booming 50GB. A mere "0" difference from us... 5 and 5 plus an extra "0"... LOL smile.gif

havent tried today's connection. outside now. later back home then suffer... useless celcom. back to dial-up age...

I'm not sure but should be around 6-7GB. hmm.gif

Yes, they can tell you... According to the technician, they do have access to the system to see. smile.gif

I know, but my line was already barred yesterday. So I must pay to continue using.
Tomorrow I'll terminate my D98 and register on the spot D68. smile.gif

Yes, because I just got barred 2 days ago and with the same error message.
You guys gotta pay full amount in order to get your line unbarred.
Only by going to Celcom Centre will enable you to get the line unbarred immediately.

Actually when I called at 2:50pm this afternoon, a different customer rep said that he knew nothing about any problem to be rectified at 2:30pm as claimed earlier that morning by a different customer rep. Damn, aren't they all clueless?

And this one even had the audacity to imply that my modem or my PC was having problem. He said something like restarting my PC, take out the darn sim card, even re-install MobilePartner. What the ... ??

Ooo. I've been barred already sweat.gif
If i pay all the bill online, via CIMBclicks, can my line be unbarred? perhaps not immediately?

I can speak from my experience. If you pay online, you will have to wait until Celcom receives the money from CIMB (who knows how these people transact payment between each other).

When my line was barred, I immediately drove to the nearest Celcom branch to pay my dues. It was unbarred straight away by using their computer system.

On Sunday night I also cannot get connected to the Celcom BB. I havent paid them for 2 month and my credit limit was just 150. So weird when they just barred me when the due date just left 1 more day only. They unbarred me on Monday night after I've made the payment to them..

Now it seems tat Celcom use default on payment to limit users access to usage of the Net doh.gif

So the recent so called upgrades is not actually an upgrade for users, juz tat it is an " upgrade " to make sure users pay on time to enjoy Celcom services and also conserve bandwidth for NEW sign-ups sweat.gif

i remembered many mths ago when there was no throttling at all till a so called " upgrade " was in process. During tat time we hav slow access to the Net. But after tat so called upgrade was done, most heavy users got throttle doh.gif doh.gif

so it seems tat celcom is getting more worst as compared to a year ago where we virtually enjoyed fast and UNthrottle/capless surfing. i dun blamed them cause their customer base hav increased 1000 folds .

i juz hope tat U-Mobile dun follow their foot steps.................
