35kBps not bad lar for capping speed (which is weird). During uncap period, I can reach 150kBps.
Anyway, don't care lar. Celcom give me some sweets, I just take it! QUOTE(digilife @ Feb 27 2009, 09:19 PM) |

This morning, I can access this website. Well, this promotion doesn't suit me.
Anyway, it opens up the posibility of "non capping" wireless internet broadband with extra $$$! Last time I heard in this forum is RM10 for 5GB? With the new enabling sms service, I guess Celcom will sms us when we exceeded 5GB, then maybe we type "XXXXX" and send to "XXXX" then get another extra 5GB allocation (need to pay, of course). Do you think it is possible? QUOTE(suriah @ Feb 27 2009, 02:59 PM) i donno this is bad news or good news, here promotion of celcom broandband now for capped problem, i think this bad news, cause to expensive loooo http://www.celcom.com.my/cep/xresources/Ce...promotions.html |

I got the same problem on and off. If I got problem replying in Lowyat, I'll have problem login to hotmail and facebook.
QUOTE(dedade @ Mar 3 2009, 10:58 AM) Anyone here experienced the problem of login to Hotmail & Facebook using Celcom BB? With full bar also it was difficult for me to login to Hotmail. Most of time will show time expired error. For Facebook, I can login most of the time. But once get in, I can browse anything or even I can't logout. Added on March 3, 2009, 11:01 am Correct some typo error on my previous post. Is actually I can't browse anything or even can't logout once I get in to facebook. It work fined for Yahoo Mail & Gmail. |

Why so unfair? My one if auto debit fail for 1 day, I'll get bar for everything...
It happen to me twice when my credit card somehow didn't auto debit the amount. I received a sms (warning). then reached the pay date, service barred... The worst is the problem lies in Celcom's state of the art system. CS admit it, but I'm the one that get victimized. The great CS still insist I pay first before unbar me (even the fault is on their side). Well, this is "boleh" land! Anything can happen! QUOTE(Massa @ Mar 3 2009, 08:43 PM) |

If you exceed 5GB, of course they'll just blame it on the 5GB policy. As for me, I only complaint when I haven't reach the limit. The strange thing is they never say about network upgrade when I complaint. Most of the time ,they say don't know what's wrong... They'll used words like "maybe" or "most likely"....
QUOTE(my44 @ Mar 4 2009, 07:43 PM) Seems no changes after 2:30pm. By the way, if you have exceeded the 5GB allocation, will the Celcom customer service be able to tell you that when you call Celcom Careline? I'm wondering, instead of making up stories like network upgrade or under maintenance, perhaps they should just say "You have exceeded the 5GB quota, that's why your internet is slow" |

So far I got two offers, either at Bukit Jalil or Petaling Jaya (near to Taylor's Hospitality and Tourism School). I reckon I can have other options right? |

I pay RM90 per month as I'm Celcom business user. The downside of business user is you're in 2 yrs contract!
Yes. My speed is capped when I reached 5GB +2GB (before CS reset my account) I'm using IE and able to access to the website... QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 9 2009, 09:06 PM) I'm not. Hi Mar_ware,RM 90? Your speed is capped now? I'm still wondering why I couldn't access to the website to check my usage. Added on March 9, 2009, 9:11 pmTried on Firefox, IE, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari but still not avail. If you want to be Celcom business user, do some check on Celcom website for business user. Personally, not recommended unless special case like mine (company sponsor my handphone bill - up to RM150). QUOTE(mar_ware @ Mar 9 2009, 09:16 PM) |

Spent RM500 per month to be a premier customer? Better use the money for other thing! Of course, if you've been spending more than RM500 every month on phone bills, then ok lar!

Hi Bro,
You make 1 big assumption here and that's stability. So, your scenario is more bias to Celcom. Yet, Celcom so pathetic, even assuming line stable still lose out pants down... Maybe Celcom aim at those light user that doesn't even know what is torrent or direct download or even Youtube!!! QUOTE(mar_ware @ Mar 12 2009, 12:55 AM) Yes, i did mention D'Campus. I added D68 analysis as well. Hope it provides insight on how expensive n terrible celcom is. I think i just win a lottery. I manage to edit my post on first try tonite. OMG! It feels like being on heaven just to be able to edit post here... further analysis for normal DiGi EDGE (RM 66 a month) the same 10 hours a day, about 530MB a day. equates to 15GB a month. rough cost analysis: RM4.4 for every GB even the more expensive DiGi package is cheaper then the cheapest celcom package... LOL!!! update: Maxis 3G broadband analysis added. |

You get me wrong! I mean the calculations for Celcom may need to factor in the stability problems, say 50%. So, the cost per GB is much higher than your calculations. Celcom totally can't fight with Digi (for heavy user).
Anyway, I really appreciate your comparison. I like to put things in dollar and cents to judge. QUOTE(mar_ware @ Mar 12 2009, 10:29 AM) well, i'm sorry if u think that way. my assumptions may not work on every one as i stated. perhaps i didnt make my definition of stability clear enuf. a stable line means the line is not having regular problems. i used celcom for half a year now n the problems r abundant, neva stopped. one week, problem A. then later, problem A gone, problem B comes. the cycle goes on n on. i read reviews about DiGi EDGE n found that the service has less problems. n thus, i say it is more stable than celcom service. i think he is trying to upload as we speak. poor MX510. how to upload using such ridiculous speed. look forward to read it though. i have demanded answer from celcom a long time now. all my previous calls have gone unheard, unfortunately. today's speed report... 109kbps down, another mystery number for up... report over n out. |

I think Celcom notice ppl leaving. Just that the coming is more than leaving...
We're not "good" customers in Celcom definition (use more than 5GB) QUOTE(mar_ware @ Mar 12 2009, 02:24 PM) ya, within this week. when this billing month ends. now just making sure i got wad i paid for. cant stand this service any longer. i have to go out just to upload files to send to my frens. or to update my blog. would like to switch to maxis but RM100 subscription fee and additional RM200 handling fee (if terminate within 2 yrs) makes me reluctant. maybe use DiGi EDGE for awhile n see how 1st. celcom wont change if they dun notice ppl leaving the service. so either i stick wif them n rot to death or switch service. i rather choose the latter. |

Using handphone or modem give no difference in speed performance (if both got HSDPA) based on my experience.
