DCA calibration I donno where but i know MAS calibration room(standard room) at second floor hangar 3.

Everyone of use will went there for training for one week. As I mentioned at this thread, mostly everywhere in MAS you can see poly students, except terminal 3 hangar 1. Will OJT at mostly every workshop. Total 16 workshop will go.

wow, just found this thread. love so much on the topic.

i don't have any cert on aviation maintenance. i think an electronic and computer enginnering grad can't apply LAME, bcause they don't have the cert to maintenance the aircraft. so is there any chance to apply LAME after i finish my degree? how?

i love the field job and dislike the office job. that why i ask, maybe there is a hope for me to think on how to apply the job after grad. i know mas and airasia got their own trainee and that will make the chance to apply is nearly impossible.

MAS didt open TAME program because there are many and now economy still pending.

I like it because I can get anywhere and busy the whole day long thinking how to solve the problems and troubleshooting. Some engineers are great.

Is like a non-stop education. I love It.

minimum pay for MAS fresh graduates should be around 3K+ without any overtime.
the more license you get, the more allowance you get.

you cant apply for the jobs if you dont have lwtr.Everything is about license, unless you enter a training program which would take around 5 years. even if with only LWTR its not that easy to get an Airline to train you for the specific type rating, since most of the airlines prefer LAE with type rated

Btw DCA calibration is DCA's hangar near the hangar 1.

And working in ASU is fun, especially meeting up those stewardess drool.gif
But refueling the aircraft yourself is a bit scary. especially when the bowser or the captain is late sweat.gif

ASU is more fun when its nite shift....

u get to follow the engineers and do defects and that will be the free time for them to teach u stuff....

morning shift normally all u do is transit check and it will be a very repetitive work like refuelling and walkaround checks... u might find it boring too after a while tongue.gif

but u know, males normally are not that bored with it tongue.gif

Hai~ that must wait until really working only can. Now training MAS didt allocate poly student to ASU.

So the thinking is abit bend. As at base hangar, if you work at wing, you will stuck there for your life. ASU different, you cover the whole aircraft!! That what I want man. Dont want to stuck at the same place.

What if I will get ASU training? It will be fun.

but transit check is boring, you do the same thing everyday, even if there is defect, most of it is transferrable to MR2 which the work will be carried out later. like tkh said, nite shift is fun, provided if there is work

erm....u working as the mechanic already ka?

i think maybe u can go baik baik with the lead technician and ask him let u experience other zone brows.gif tongue.gif

and actually ASU u dont really cover the whole aircraft...only the engineer does....

we as apprentice only see what they do and give them a hand....but still it is at least better than sealant and panel job laugh.gif
