I don't have any direct links to the program, but you can check out their website here: https://www.staero.aero/
Their requirements for the program are as follows (old advertisement): http://www.jobstreet.com.sg/jobs/2012/8/s/...165947.htm?fr=R

They take in Malaysians, with valid passport.
I applied sometime in November, they did not advertise it publicly though.

Yes, Singaporean company.

My dad's been in the aviation industry for almost 30 years, hence the interest is there.
He lives in Singapore, hence I consider it lucky as he will be able to guide me through.

Besides, I have always been open to field work rather than a desk job. Benefits wise, not bad smile.gif

He lives in Singapore, and he can by my mentor. He's been in this field long enough, hence I consider it lucky as he will be able to guide me through.

No my dad's more involved towards project engineering/ management.

Referring to the bolded part: That's what my dad's been telling me, get your licenses, type certifications, etc, and you'll be sought after. Tbh, I don't even know half the things he has mentioned to me lol but I guess I'll pick it up when I join laugh.gif

My dad started off with Sasco, but left the company some time back
But the nature of his work is such that he still deals with them.
He works in Changi now, with another aviation company.

If you want more details can pm me laugh.gif

Jazzy will be fine, although I am more on the uncle side.. laugh.gif

Personally I would advice you to take up rotary wings.. why? The high demand for it and of course, a better pay than fixed wing engineers.. wink.gif

Enjoy your module 12.. Mr. Terry Chan will be conducting the course for sure.. biggrin.gif

Hi guys, just dropping by. Currently in my 3rd year in APR, undergoing Module 12 with Terry Chan in KK and just as you said, I'm enjoying it very much. No regrets at all taking rotary wings and it really sparks my interest in heli's. The theory of Flight and all is so much more different than a fixed wing but very, very interesting indeed.

APR recently participated in the education fair in KK over the past 2 days and received more than 80 applicants, tomorrow would be the assessment, wonder how many people would turn up? Many of the applicants are SPM top scorers sweat.gif

The information about your study that you provided are too little.

Is your university of college is a Part 147 by DCA Malaysia?
http://www.dca.gov.my/Division/Airworthine...rganisation.pdf

If it is, i'm sure you can deal with your QA department about your licensing progress.

Now, speaking of EASA. Is your university/college is a Part 147 by EASA?
http://easa.europa.eu/approvals-and-standa...SA_Part_147.pdf

If your university/college is not in any of those list then the only way you can take EASA Exam or DCA Exam is as a private candidate status (5 years working experience).

It is a bit confusing i agree. But, a little internet research goes a long way. I was once like you too.

Back then CAA UK gave out ELGD but then they retracted it back not too long ago because of some misinformation in that guide book.

Speaking of DCAM Part 66 licensing, please download the AN1101 from DCA website and read through. I'm sure you will be less confusing after that smile.gif

Pardon me if i'm wrong.

You can sit for EASA module exam without actually being employed as long as you are going to sit as a private candidate. If you are going to sit for the exam as Part 147 candidate you need to ask your QA Department.

Once you've passed exam modules (eg : 12 modules for B2), it does not mean you have got your license. You need 5 years working experience and then you can submit your application for LWTR. Please get that right.

I only know that LAME maintain aircrafts. Then there are aeronautical engineers who engineer aircrafts.

aeronautical engineer=degree holder/design engineer where else the aircraft engineer always refer to licensed holder who are maintain the aircraft and issuing the certificate...post maintenance/servicing...etc

I THINK IN MALAYSIA FOR B1.1 OR B2 FIXED WING,THEY DONT REALLY BOTHER ABOUT GETTING TYPE ENDORSEMENT IN THEIR LICENSE WHICH IS TOTALLY OPPOSITE EASA LIC HOLDER IE NO TYPE RATING NO 145 APPROVAL......NO CRS PRIVILEGE!!!!!
