I don't quite sure, but just voice out my opinion.

Pilot is sure a No-go, colorblind is not so fatal in engineering. But a red-green confusion may means alot in aircraft indication. (red=warning/fatal, while green means safe, adverse meanings)

As for qualification, its better to ask DCA or the company which gives approval to you. Attach your medical report on color blind together for certain.
*(I think colorblind doesn't sure a problem, but certain color might be problem)

Thank you for the reply, I can see the color green/red if it's nt mixed or closed by if you know what I mean. I am short-listed in the course and there will be an interview next January. I think i'll just ask about it.

For DTS it shud be ard 4 yrs for B1.1. But, for my opinion, its juz too crazy to spend 160k juz for DCA, unless u got loan or sponsored etc...

For B1.1 it should be around 4 years, 2 1/2 years theory and 2 years on job training (OJT). Although the fees is 160K but for you (Public Intake) it should not be a problem bcuz u can apply for MARA loan. Btw im taking B2..hihihi rolleyes.gif

If you are looking to be an aircraft engineer, one advice, don't enroll in MIAT.

It really depends on where you are working, and type of technician.

Example:
Line technician: Do Transit (aircraft stop at airport, refuel, check, etc)
Base Technician: Do alot of maintenance work (inspection, replace/repair parts, etc)

can you tell us what company offering you the position?

usually those who work at line maintenance do the refueling.but in my place even those who work at base maintenance are involved in refueling outside hangar

An engineering company offer me the position. Intisari mulia engineering. I think they are the subcon.

I don't have any direct links to the program, but you can check out their website here: https://www.staero.aero/
Their requirements for the program are as follows (old advertisement): http://www.jobstreet.com.sg/jobs/2012/8/s/...165947.htm?fr=R

They take in Malaysians, with valid passport.
I applied sometime in November, they did not advertise it publicly though.

Yes, Singaporean company.
