Ok thanks for the guide, i have jailbroke(Quick2gPwner) my ipod touch 2G on a mac OS X last night.

Can i resync to my itunes on my MAC after jailbreak to restore apps i downloaded earlier?

If not, how do I backup my ipod from now on?

Yeap, you can, and in fact, should do so.

Just restore all the previous settings if you want them, then just sync back all your apps and other content. No hassle at all smile.gif

hey guys, morning.

i think i need some help here.
as wat had been posted by intothefantasy before, im facing a very similar problem when i tried to JB my ipod 2G.
wat really happened was i got stuck on the verge of the very last process, directly after installation of the customized firmware.
not sure wther i spelled it out right but nevertheless, i hope the image attached below hopefully can help me describing it in a better way.

i dont think it is because of low mem.. bcause nowadays im really rarely use my ipod.. coz im getting boring with it plus im a bit busy with my exm.. so sometime im looking foward using it for browsing and listen to music it turn to hang.. even in hang situation i still can change the sound level.. X(
i dont know why it is happen but it happened several time already.. i think its normal.. but when it happened again n again ive bcome worried..

Initially i tried quickfreedom on Vista64, faced lotsa problems; libusb and especially during custom firmware creation.

Mine jb-ed with redsn0w. Working fine so far. Only hiccup is I need to download the latest firmware from iTunes itself. If i download it from apple's site or other sources does not work well.

Loving my iP2G even more now! smile.gif

click 'Browse' if it cant detect it automatically. And make sure the firmware is .ipsw format.

Just backup your apps into your computer. And after you buy an app, next time you download the same app with the same account, it wont cost you any cent. To backup Cydia app, install AppBackup from cydia.
