What i mean is why SD card?  Why not USB?  Imagine you have camcorder with SD card and when it fill-up , you transfer them to your external HDD.  And after 1 years you have transfer like 100 video to you hard disk.  To view them in the Pana tv, you have to transfer them back to the SD card only then you can view them.  Eventually you end up not viewing them anymore because its too inconvenient.

Why not have a universal USB port where you can plug in any pendrive, USB HDD, or even a card reader for the SD card!

oh...since you use laptop, why not using VGA cable? I guess VGA will be better than S-Video...... if you have HDMI, then more than much more better....

It is interesting to see that these big screens' prices tumbling. In a way, it is 'affordable' to more consumers. Years ago, these are premium display panels meant for those with deep pockets.

Full HD has never been so affordable. It will be more attractive in near future as better tech and improvements are being adopted.

Just came back from comparing plasmas from panasonic, samsing and LG. Panasonic wins hands down, with very natural color. Was using Mr & Mrs Smith as reference point. Samsung and LG both had rather unnatural brightness and "piercing" colors.
Wanted to get 42"panasonic pv80, but it's already not available from this shop, and he's the cheapest in Kuching, at RM3088. I guess I'll have to wait for the new model (42X10K) now...in two weeks.

BTW, he's selling the 50"pv80 for RM5088 (he's very likely to round up), for those interested.

Yes, Sam is right. It could be due to HDCP that limits it.

Don't forget, road show price is one thing, chinaman (ie like Legend) shop and commontan price is another. Knock off another RM1500 and that would be the chinaman shop price.

So, I won't be surprised it will be RM4K plus during chritsmas sale
