Last week? Not really sure because normally on office wifi. It's when I only turn it on when I'm working outside & I can't get any connection at all. (Using U28 package)

Same thing happens to my friend. She's using mobile broadband 20gb. Can't get any connection at all. But once leave klang area heading to PJ, smooth connectivity.

Guys, Im here in Malaysia for 3months and would like to subscribe umobile prepaid for my iphone..im thinking of just taking the u18 prepaid plan...however, what I don't understand is it says that 250mb is allocated for fast-internet, then after that the speed will be throttled..so my questions are :

1) how fast of 'fast internet' are we talking about?
2) what will the speed be after the 250mb is finished?
3) no extra charge after the 250mb is finished right?

1) common 3G speed, some users experienced 2-5mbps, but recently the speed is unstable.. might drop below 1mbps.
2) 64kbps.
3) no extra charge.

If you dun have WiFi as your main source of Internet, forget abt UMi18/Umi28 , go for UMi48.

Best is go for MB68, i have many foreign frens here which require to get intouch with folks back home via FB and Skype , they go for MB128 instead. You still can make and receive calls on MB packages, if you have available credits in your ac.

Just set it to Maxis 2G if possible, as for me i set my Umobile to 2G ( Maxis ) only

Shouldn't have to pay for 2G at the U-3G rate. If switch to 2G, may as well switch to Tune for 5 sen (advantage of dual SIM).

PS: 10pm Am Bank near KLCC, cannot use data connection, gone completely, no bars.

Currently UM3G from 7pm onwards till midnite really sucks at some locations [high traffic locations]

As we knoe data connection fr 7pm onwards is almost usless, it might be a good idea to switch/lock our fon to 2G Only [roaming on Maxis] so that calls wont be interrupted.

Not only data connection is bad, CRM and E reload/ manual topup via coupons, package subscription and renewal [Umobile] during these period sucks too. I believe UM gonna get Fined kawkaw by SKMM soon. I advice ppl to do those stuff during off peak period. Morning time is best.

I've been using U prepaid for more than a year. And subscribing to UMI28 for 500mb data every month. So far it is enough. Usually ngam ngam 500mb. Lately my 500mb used up within 2 weeks or so. My usage these months seems to be even less than before but still the data habis very fast. Cant figure out why. Maybe one app on my iPhone leaking data but I cant pinpoint it. Anyway I just renewed with UMI48. This time sure enough.

Only thing U prepaid lacking now is international roaming. If got roaming I will immediately port another line from Hotlink to U-Mobile. Btw has anyone tried http://www.flexiroam.com ?
Will this service works for prepaid U mobile? Thanks
