There are few more consideration:
- Unstable RPM when going up hill
- Recommendation of V-Kool as their authorized tinting is not a good idea, as I have face bad service and bad manner in talking to me and customers. Found dust and end result of tinting were not fine (even after redo the whole car), as there were bubble and soap stain in tinting film (Somemore it was at front screen, image this!)
- Bumpy feeling.
- Dangerous Wiper washing nozzle which shoot out soap to your front screen as it was sharp
- plastic\ rubber at top is peeling off by itself.
*
Yup, sorry forgot the rubber lining peeling off thingy which is quite an obvious defect. I've tried Ecotint service & its quite good. There's no bubble or visible dust & it has last for over 6 yrs now. I hope their service stays the same. I'll most likely use Ecotint again on my new car in future.

1. The most i get was 12.2km/l only. As long as  I stay on highways (with no jam) longer the FC is lesser. =(

2. Unlike Toyota, Honda is made for better handling and therefore reduces comfort.

3. No problem with the bumpers but the double sided tape of my rear car plate is peeling off. Wondering if during service they can stick it again for me.

4. That's normal for the NHC.

5. Agree. Alarm is too soft.

6. No problem with a/c. Cools pretty fast but when turn to both leg and front cooling it is loud.

7. When "tekan" engine revs up to around 4k rpm and is loud (noisy). Got no paddle shift (Grade S)

8. Handbrake seems stiff but doesn't lock the tires hard enough. Need to do some adjustments during 1k service.

9. Quality of production in terms of workmanship is pretty poor. Nothing much can do about it I guess.

Wanna ask you guys. If I am to do tinting and waxing, technically which 1 should I go for first?
*
i got ~11km/l for almost 99% city driving lor, very little highway drive yet

the handbrake really doesn't lock the tires hard enough, bcoz when stop half way on hill, i need to put into P, else i can feel the car slipping away tongue.gif maybe i not dare to pull the hand brake enough coz it's quite stiff lor

quality of production really got some problem lor, my front passenger side, the window rubber already spoil... after window power up tightly, it's not normal, and the engine bonnet got 1 exhaust thing(to let the engine air flow out i think), 1 big screw gone missing(until i wash car only found out)
have to get all of these fix when first service smile.gif (maybe more to discover when i wash my car later on lol)

lastly... the alarm is... i can say that if you are concern about security, please fix a new siren hahaha, nobody will notice when the alarm is triggered biggrin.gif

RM 2000, include mat and tinting... I get it done at Apple Auto, 2 mins away from Jalan 222 Honda. I taken the Crystalline 70 tinting which is the highest grade... It really serves well as I these few days going out and parked under hot sun. And it can change colour under different condition.

I have 2 booklet featuring all available films offered including their "stats" and a sample of each film which can be use for testing by putting it under a heat light.

For Crystalline 70, it cuts off 99.7% of UV rays and heat.

Agree with this point, need to press harder on the pedal in order to going up hill. Need to check the gearbox on next service.

Hi All, thanks for the input & comments. This thread is really useful as I'm considering the new City too. So far based on the info in this thread, below are common problems raised.

1) Engine loud when press hard
2) Floating feeling
3) Aircond noise high or not cold fast enough
4) Alarm too soft / no panic alarm button

Just curious. Before the new City, what car are you guys driving?
For 42 litres petrol tank, I think 450-500 kms is not bad at all.
I believe after the engine has run-in, hitting 600kms is possible?
*
1. Typical characteristic of all engines
2. Typical for Japanese cars
3. Check with service center
4. Check with service center

For heavy footers - the car should still average 430km. Normal drivers should have 460 ~ 480km range. Careful drivers can probably stretch it to 520km. When you engine runs in, fuel economy should improve but to hit 600km, that's a little far fetched unless you're going highway all the time.

I'd like to add that any car will work harder when going uphill so don't be surprised to see the RPM jumping because of constant gear switches. And whether if it's a BMW or Merc, if you rev the car to 4k RPM, the engine noise is going to be audible, it's just a matter of how much firewall and sound insulation has been done to isolate that sound.

RPM is really unstable when going up hill. You can try to ue Waja VS NHC. I tried few time. Btw, when does "engine run in" is consider run in? Floating? Wonder is it that you driving too fast when you have that feel, so far I am ok with it. Air Cond and alarm really is a problem! We really need to find way to contact Honda Malaysia, service center outlet doesn't help much as they blame it was production problem which is they can't do much. so sad! cry.gif and so angry! vmad.gif

QUOTE(tillerman @ Jan 28 2009, 12:12 AM)
My question and opinion:

- What is the total range you can go for one full tank pump? How much is your one fuel tank pump?
- Anyone have the best way to have highest FC? I was wondering that is NHC possible to beat to beat IDSI which make record of 26.9KM/L? If it isn't, it should at least make it to near 21km/l to 24km/l
- Sharp corner is stable!
- The rubber lining is peeling off too. I forgot to state this just now. Will complain to my SA too sad.gif
- Honda website and advertisement promises better aircond feature such as quietness and faster cooling compare to previous gen, but doesn't sound promising. No matter how will complain to my SA.
- For the alarm you have to wait for a momeny till it be initiated 10 to 15 seconds, then you will find it working. No matter how soft it was when u stand outside of the car or sitting inside this car you will still hear it.
- Wonder if anyone facing problem when driving up to hill when. When you stop your car up toward a hill, which your car is narrow up, in D mode gear, anyone car start dropping back? Heard from one of my friend having this problem. So far I just tested in normal hill not those Genting type. Heard that this is because NHC is too heavy 1140 for S spec and 1160kg for E spec.
- S mode eat up a lot of fuel. Lagging for 1 seconds will take, may be this is because of DBW tech???
- Yes rear and front is really crazy man!! Possible if can get front sensor will be good : ) but still we have to wait till warranty is over.

*
- Total range since my last full tank refuel is already 480km, still got a bit of fuel inside, so i think topping 500 shouldn't be a prob.!! My last refuel was RM65... I just pumped first, didn't wait for the indicator light to come on..
- I think for FC, a lot also depends on your driving habits. Try not having jackrabbit starts at traffic lights, but instead try to gently tap on your accelerator and ensure smooth and gradual pick up. Travelling at high speeds also do not help your FC, as there is greater wind resistance to overcome.
- Going up hill, i haven't experienced having my car dropping back, or maybe I didn't notice it. Will look out for it the next time. However, i also noticed that the RPM is not stable whilst going up steep hills.
- S mode eating up a lot of fuel? Not too sure about that... Whilst in S mode i try not to rev my engine to >3k RPM, cos the engine's still new. Correspondingly, the fuel consumption indicator shows that my consumption in S mode is in the range of 14-16km/L when i engaged in S mode.
- I think by the time you wait till your warranty period is over, you should be able to estimate your car's front + back dimension's pretty well.! hehe

with S mode you can still runing with 14-16km/l? what is your speed?
After warranty is too long to really estimate my car front and rear.

i found the 30seconds autolock back when the door didn't open very inconvenient...

here is my experience... I go to petrol station, lock the car, walk to pay money, walk back unlock the car, open up the cover to pump petrol... after 30seconds, the petrol cover is autolock coz door never open after unlock, when i finish pump in petrol, i was trying to push back the cover, it cannot be close... coz the thing is already in lock mode... i have to unlock the car again and push back the cover biggrin.gif
