So nobody knows where to make custom floor mats? Those with proper sewing that is... not just cut-out type...

Any idea??
*
Managed to find this on the net bro...

http://www.torque.com.sg/forums/showthread...=1231169&page=5

Supposedly original 3M mats, cut and sewn to order..

It's singapore-based though... Let's see if we can arrange a bulk order for discount, and then get a contact in singapore to help us out with it... Using exchange rate of RM2.4 = SGD 1, prices range from SGD 135 (RM324) - SGD 230 (RM552)...

Anyone heard of diamondbrite paint coating?

I am contemplating putting on my new city, which should be coming in the next couple of days...

there's a demo video on this product... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PuhG-g7sQ74

Supposedly it will protect your car's paint and for six years no need to polish/wax... Just hose off/light wash and put restorer once a month, and it will have a showroom shine for 6 years... There's even a 6 year warranty to back up their claims..

I got an ex-colleague who put it on his mazda 3, its been a year and so far he's been very satisfied...

Anyone tried this product before?? Anyone out there interested - maybe if do together can get discount.!!

Diamondbrite is easily RM1.6k.

I just did mine at Shine and Shield today.. Rm680 whole car... more info here:
http://www.shinenshield.com

Cheaper alternative, 3 yrs warranty..
*
I called and asked about it today, got to get it done at Glenmarie... It's 1388 per car... 10% discount if do in group i think...

Bout the same price as Shine N Shield, since Diamondbrite is for 6 yrs and shine N shield is 3 yrs.. But i heard shine and shield every 6 months need to send back for routine maintenance, which will set u back RM72...

*
Hmmm... Got to check on that... I think the concealer you can do it yourself as you wash your car.... Will check and let the rest know! smile.gif

I'm open to either the PPS Teflon at Shine N Shield or Diamondbrite, got to do some research first... hehe.. tongue.gif

Anyone out there tried before and got any comments/reviews?

QUOTE(chris_x @ Jan 17 2009, 09:34 AM)
Hi guys, anyone interested to do the teflone sealant for your new city? There would be a group rate discount, i need to gather 4 more to go.

Details: http://www.shinenshield.com

Just place a small deposit and you could make appointment to do it at a cheaper price. Please contact me soon as I wanna do it before CNY ^^

syncronyzer has done it recently, it's great~

I am still contemplating between the PPS coating and the Diamondbrite coating... I posted something about Diamondbrite earlier on, its in the V1 thread I think ...

Diamondbrite costs twice as much, but has a warranty period twice as long! So far I've read lots of good reviews on the PPS coating, but my ex-colleague keeps telling me to get Diamondbrite, cos he's very satisfied with it.. No need to polish/wax for 6 yrs apparently.. Just wipe a coat of restorer after every wash, and no need to send back for upkeep every 6 months or so...

http://www.autoworld.com.my/EMZine/Review/...D=RT.ATC.CAR.FS

Anyone tried using these two products before? or maybe someone could google for more info? I've googled and read up here and there as much as I can, but I still cant decide which one to go for.. I'd love to know a bit more of both products before I decide... My ex-colleague is brainwashing me to go for Diamondbrite like everyday man...

QUOTE(aquilaTE @ Jan 17 2009, 05:06 PM)
Thx. There were only 3 cities(BBM, CBP & LBM), 1 crv and 3 accords at the showroom freshly delivered yesterday... Man, I am so excited rclxm9.gif

Hmm.. But I've read from several forums where people who did Diamonbrite, went for PPS for 2nd coating. The PPS boss Raymond told me the same thing too.. Not sure whether it's true or not lar... hahaha....

For me.. just didn't feel like doing at such a high price.. so went for the cheaper one.. and most reviews in found online is on PPS, not much on Diamondbrite..
*
Yeah, actually I am more inclined to do PPS, cos 1) i heard diamondbrite's customer service is not that great... Then again, customer service depends on case to case basis, they might have one bad temp employee who ruined their reputation... 2) its cheaper... 3) most importantly, all the reviews on PPS i've read are positive.. Not much to be found on diamondbrite.

But my ex-colleague is poisoning me everyday to do diamondbrite.. I am really wondering if he is getting cash incentive from them for all that effort man.. lol..

btw what's the waiting period for the city if i order now ?
*
should be approx 3 months, I think... Also depends highly on what colour you choose.. Anyone care to verify?

sebaver,

Does your friend use Diamondbrite? What is his feedback?

Did some reading too... seems like PPS as you have all mentioned most discussed and rated. O_O.

So far the biggest drawback people mentioned is that if your car has an accident which requires you to respray you will notice the difference. Or is it psychological. Hehe.
*
Well he says he's very satisfied with it, and i've seen his car, it still looks beautiful... His car is white in colour and it still looks shiny and new...

Dang.. my bro's car has arrived in the showroom.. but where's my ASM @ Jln 222? Has it arrived?

Added on January 18, 2009, 12:34 amQuestion.. for our new Honda City club,
Are we the 5G? or the 3G? (<---cos the latter is more applicable since we started out with the Ztec model and the previous one ..then only this arrow-shot type.

I was thinking like Honda City Connection Club (HC3) .. the 3* symbolizes the 3rd Gen..

the 3 suppose to the "kuasa 3" the "power of 3".. can't seem to superscript it
*
Yup, I like the sound of HC3...!! I'll go for whatever the majority votes for (since i don't have any ideas of my own), to me the club name doesn't really matter, though its a plus if it sounds cool.. hehe

Maybe we should discuss the name of the club in the Club thread, instead of here...

According to TOVA, we're actually the 3rd Gen. Guess for now, for the sake of simplicity.. we'll take 3.
I'll let the name stay at HC3 for the time being till perhaps until after CNY, if there are no major objections..we'll stick to that, aye? smile.gif
