Think after we pool all the niggles and minor problems that we have experienced with the City, we should write / type in to Honda Malaysia so that they can rectify this problem for the next batches..and in the mean time, repair the 1st batch. Anyhow these things are quite normal. The price you pay for being in the exclusive '1st batch'

There are few more consideration:
- Unstable RPM when going up hill
- Recommendation of V-Kool as their authorized tinting is not a good idea, as I have face bad service and bad manner in talking to me and customers. Found dust and end result of tinting were not fine (even after redo the whole car), as there were bubble and soap stain in tinting film (Somemore it was at front screen, image this!)
- Bumpy feeling.
- Dangerous Wiper washing nozzle which shoot out soap to your front screen as it was sharp
- plastic\ rubber at top is peeling off by itself.

I'm a newcomer to this forum and yes a NHC user. Just got the baby E-SPEC PMM colored last week, now already clocked more than 1400km, with driving 70% highway, 30% city/rural. My findings:

1. Suspension is quite hard/stiff & at rear can feel quite bumpy.

2. The highest FC I got as in the VID is 18.5km/l, the lowest is around 11km/l, with max speed 120-130km/hr.

3. The range info which tell u how far more the can go before the tank emptied is quite misleading. I had my fuel indicator light appeared at the range around 80km. In the manual, it stated that when the fuel indicator appear, you shall have around 6-7 litres left in the tank. When the range goes down to 30km, my 5km trip to the petrol station saw the range figure drop from 30km to 10km. And when refuel, it takes me around 33 liters to full it up. Very confusing. Sure gonna ask at 1st service (yes, belum service lagi....)

4. FC i think quite good. After a distance of 497km, it takes me RM58 @ 32.3ltr to refill back the tank. Mind you if the tank truly of 42ltr max, then I still have at least 9 liters left before refuel. So I think 600km for a full tank is not impossible.

5. 95% I stay in D mode. Once in a while in highway I downshift (but still in D mode) to overtake. When you you downshift, there is delay around 1 sec before you feel the changes.

Haven't done my 1st service due to CNY leave. But has confirmed with my SA that it's OK as they are not gonna do any part replacement (oil/filter etc) at 1st service. Just inspection only.

As for now, I'm quite happy this new car....

it's the 1/3-inch wide inner ring next to the head lamp switch...u can sure it's on or not by the indicator at the cockpit...I bet in the manual it's stated...

IMHO, I think alot of people are experiencing this sort of problem 'cos they 'expect' the car to be perfect. I noticed the NVH for both the Honda City and Jazz using the L15A engine to be a little harsh. In terms of gear change, since we are so used to the CVT box.. now that you can 'feel' the change, alot of ppl say that's no good. I do agree that there are still a little niggle and bumps (ie. peeling rubber strips, door padding got gap etc).. but I guess no car's perfect. The 8G Civic has sh|t loads of problems initially, but still heaps load of ppl have bought it. The same will go with this City. At the end of the day, there will still be grievances...but I think we'll be able to live with it.

I think it would be helpful if those who faced problems mentioned earlier, such as sagging bumper, tint bubbles or what not, to post a pic of how bad it looks.

Did another test drive today in Ipoh, and yeah the aircond is loud and alarm is quite soft, but to me it seems quite tolerable. Really enjoyed the paddle shift.

The degree of loudness of the engine depends on personal taste coz I've driven the Wira, Merc, CRV and Vios quite often, and they all are loud when accelerating hard. Can't expect too much from a 1.5L eh?

I've booked another test drive tomm in Shah Alam, so will rev it up kaukau along kesas b4 making my final decision.

Did the test drive today. Speed was good n turning at roundabouts great. Kena by speed gun on d way but SA din say anything.. hehe. In d end made d booking for E spec. Shld arrive in March as part of 5th batch.

Heard the service sifu said it was due to disc brakes which is not as tight as the drum breaks... same "problem" with Civic or Accord? So I didn't do any adjustment on it.

i) Yes. A good tint is absolutely necessary. Ecotint is good. Make sure side windows are security tint.
ii) PPS coating is a great idea. Our tropical climate does nasty things to the paint. Great shine factor and also help if lazy to wax, like me.
iii) Get a good alarm system (change siren as well). Void the warranty of the alarm system!! Prefer to void the alarm warranty than to lose the car.

The above is exactly what I'll do when I get the car. Other mods can wait but these 3 are first priority.

yes, ecotint does have the security film, called hybrid version, if not mistaken got hybrid 4 and hybrid 6 which the number represent the mil, 4 mil or 6 mil etc.
i am the one who mention the front and back raybarrier. and yes... my SA is my fren and he offer the best deal to me....
About the "PPS", anyone can explain how many brand are available out there? and how much?

For example, when u pass through a bump or hump. I realise the gear remains at 3rd gear instead of 2nd gear, so i need to press slightly harder on pedal to get it going. Another example- when u going uphill, the gear will change very fast like 1st, 2nd, 3rd so there isn't enough power to go uphill. I need to press harder on the pedal to change 2nd gear and when i release abit on the pedal, it change back to 3rd gear. Is this normal to u all? Hope u all get what i mean. lol.

Oic. Honestly I've not encountered any problem like this.
No sudden jerk or unstable rpm.
But as always, I'll experiment tonight 

Comparison between NHC & Civic.

Send to my car for 1k KM service. So far nothing been change but they did fix my complain:

-Tyre sound. Unable to fix it is from the Good Year tyre.
-At top of the car, we have two line of right hand side and left hand side of plastic. This two is peeling of by itself. They said that it cause by the clip is not fix properly. They have ordered for my car, will wait for their news.
-Car allignment for 2nd time, the car allignment is fixed for free as long as your car does not exceed 3000KM trip.
-Air conditioning not cold enough. They have change the compresor and ensure the gas for air con is full and new. Improve air conditioning.
-Aircond sound. This is unable to fix due to it manufacturing defaulted setting. They tested on new batch of NHC and the first batch of NHC, when both tested, blowing on foot and face the sound is kind of annoying. Hope that Honda Malaysia will get some bug fixing for this problem.
-Engine high FC. They have resetted and tune the FC by computer. I do not know how they did it but, they said its done. I will try out and see whether the FC really improving. Still they said FC will improve after 5k and 10k KM trip services.
-My bumper with some stone hit deep into bumper during delivering the  car to me. They fixed my bumper by redo paint job on the whole bumper (Front). Everything is as good as new.
-Car is bumpy. This can't be fixed but however they tried to reduce the bumpy feel by doing something, so far felt better.

Hope no more problem after this. Cross my finger XD

We need change our driving method in order to get use to NHC, this will help you to get better FC. When the first time i drove NHC, the car control me and now i control the car coz i getting use to it already.

I must say that not much changes. Minor engine tuning, rear lamp and front bumper. That's all.

No, please don't cancel order. Stick to your decision. You'll ask me why, then allow me to explain.
1. Once you've cancelled, there's no way to go back UNLESS you re-order. That makes you have to wait again.
2. You're actually prolong your waiting period by jumping ship to order Civic.
3. Save your money for better use in future. It's not a right time to upgrade now unless you've thought long ago.

The overall appearance of the facelifted Civic from the previous is a small difference in my point of view.

Err... what do you mean " it might be bigger"?
