Yea, i too was at a disbelieved, as i thought usually But while they were taking off the old brake pad, I saw it with my own eyes that it was touching the metal "warning" thing. So i guess no choice but to have it replaced. They were offering me either the Bosch brake pad(RM300) or the Ming Thye brake pad at only RM50!!

Any Persona owners care to share your brake pad changing experience? when did you change yours?

Im a defensive driver i would say, don't really speed or corner fast. Yea, they gave me Bosch brake pads. Will using of 3rd party brake pads void the warranty?

My Persona is a monster as well..   wub.gif   It sucks more petrol than my 2.0 litre MPV.. LOL!  cool2.gif

BTW, one problem spotted. Water enters the cabin through the rear left window when I wash my car..  cry.gif
The rubber seal is about 1cm shorter than the frame.  shakehead.gif  Is yours having this problem too?

Nope, brake pad is consumable item..you can use any pad.

Asbestos brake pad - brake dust is dark brownish colour
Semi metallic..metallic pad - brake dust is dark greyish colour..

I just replaced all 4 brake pads with Bosch Power Plus. Total: RM110 only.

I have used it before. Brake feel is a lot better, low dust and quite lasting. It is probably the best brake pads you can buy for that money.

Other pads may bite better, but they also produce more dust and sound. I really like the progressive feel of the Bosch Power Plus.

Recommended to all Persona owners.

Brake dust is just dust..mix of road tarmac, gravel, air, contanminant..but there's slight colour difference..

Performance brake pad bites but dusty & noisy compare to stock pad.

Very well Overfloe, I am staying at PJ as well.
Mind to tell the exact location of this PH Auto? Which landmark? As in same row with what company? For eg. next to Taman Sea CIMB bank, opposite Shell station.
Thanks in advance.
