Why Persona's butt so high up? Though sharing the same chassis with Gen2, gen2's ride height seemed more "normal".

Added on September 7, 2009, 10:35 amComparing two cars.

Waja 1.6 (A)
Persona 1.6 (A).

These two cars above having similar FC? Eg. RM50 = how many KM?

To be honest the OEM bodykit does look better compared to the Airmaster or "R3" in term of design. It looks more subtle yet good looking.I don't know whether just to buy a Medium Line and then just slapped in the SE bodykit but the SE interior with leather finishing is quite attractive for me. laugh.gif

After a few months, my SE right side skirt are loosen and leave a small gap at the front tyre area. Talk to SC during service but guy said it just a small gap, no matter la as if want to fix, they'll need to remove the whole thing and reassemble it. But after the gap hole become bigger and bigger as maybe due to water going in. End up glue myself using selley liquid nail. I think the SE bodykit looks
quite nice with it's simple basic design that matches the car but it doesn't matched the price of 1.5k. Another thing is the front lips under are so easily to get scratches as persona is a 'head heavy' car.

Barely 24 hours of ownership (got the car at 5:30pm on 4 Sep 09), i found several defects already.

1.  Automatic gear lever indicator lights (at the gear lever) sometimes no light. Suspect it is connector problem.
2.  Rear boot lid above the Persona logo, paint chip.
3.  Rear bumper top portion, paint chip.
4.  Front bumper corner slightly misaligned
5.  Rear bumper corner slightly misaligned
6.  The famous aircond vent rattle
7.  The ever famous RHF wheel "kok" sound when turning right / left i dun remember which direction.
8.  Meter cluster slightly misaligned
9.  Steering alignment slightly misaligned but i think i won't bother about it for now.
10. Fuel lid when opened the top portion corner (RH top corner) touches the car body. So it sorta scratches it. I will hv this fixed first thing today because i cannot wait till the 1st service to do. It will be too late cuz by then i already refill several times already. So it might scratches it even more.
Okay this below is i am not so sure if its really defect or not:-

1.  There is this hole cover beside the dash next to the meter cluster. I am not so sure if there is a small gap for you  to pry or it is slightly cracked. Not so sure.
Question:

1.  How much is the full tank?
2.  Since mine is B Line, where can i buy the rear boot lid sound damping similar to M & H line models?
Driving experience:

1.  Very nicely sound insulated. Road noise etc very minimal.
2.  Very nice driving feel, eg. steering feel, engine power etc etc. suspension.... The engine and AT ECU is adapting to my driving style so it is improving since i got it yesterday. The power delivery is getting more and more better.
As to date, this is what i discover barely 24 hours of ownership....  brows.gif

7. The ever famous RHF wheel "kok" sound when turning right / left i dun remember which direction.
it is when turning the left, try swicth off the aircon when making the left turn, the "kok" sound will never happen...

and previous BHP ron95 full tank can go up to 350km with 60% (city, stop and go,jam traffic, find parking rounding) and 40%federal highway around 80km/h to 120km/h and gear change 2.5-3000rpm.....

btw...must control my right foot,so that dont rev/floor down and speed so often...must take care of the gearbox since mine is automatic... doh.gif

@ralf

wow....so did the new brake reservoir cover solve the problem??....mine when open the black rubber is loose and can fall out... doh.gif .....wonder is the cover can be purchase at spare parts shop???...since I didnt service my car at SC d.... laugh.gif

and also..is the problem common 4 u too where the braking level is not consistent...like somtimes need to press more to brake or sometimes tap a bit can brake d... hmm.gif

I check yesterday..change to new brake reservoir cap..now seems ok but still leak abit ..brake fluid level still Full.
should be okay now..the cap should be quite cheap since it is just a small plastic cap.

me too, my brake now need to press harder..very hard. Front bites but the rear like no brakes.. wink.gif previous service didn't open up the drum cover to check..
