Im using DiGi prepaid and it works for me.
When restarting the phone, just turn on and off the air plane mode then it can search the signals

Which "yellowsn0w" command works for you best?
-c ?
-r ?

i believe you have to type all 3 command into the terminal then it should works fine after that.

using maxis postpaid here .. it works .. but wasn't a smooth ride ...
here's the list of things i did before it worked.

1) install yellowsn0w through Cydia ( including Remove / Reinstalling as well )
2) Tried all the various methods to get signals but coudln't get any. ( Reset Network, BossPref Reset / Disabled Services etc )
3) Tried command line as well

It works when i used was doing the follwing: ( just a list , not in sequence though )
1) Turned off 3G / EDGE / Data Roaming
2) Installer to install yellowsn0w.
3) BossPref reset
4) Reset Network Setting
5) yellowsn0w terminal commands
5) Turning ON / OFF Airplane
6) It will begin to work when the SEARCHING word comes alive

btw, it doesn't work on my celcom non-3G prepaid though .. it was searching till No Service ..

Just keep trial and error .. Don't give up. I believe the model i had was the US model.

my brother has a white 16GB model from US.
the seller told him to Turn Off 3G then should be working

and his is working nicely

Not sure wat's wrong wif de phone. The logo "My Maxis" appeared for awhile (2 seconds) with full bars, then zero bars, then Searching... Then nothing. Pengsan.

When I restart the phone, the same thing happen. My Maxis full bar, My Maxis zero bar, then Searching...

try reinstall using installer not cydia.

yellowsn0w 0.9.5 is released

0.9.5 beta should fix quite a few problems including some STK issues .

I bought the Celcom this late afternoon just to try out. Tomorrow I will buy DIGI n try again.

Install yellowsn0w 0.9.5
Reset network
MobileTerminal
Airplane mode on off
Initially no signal (Hotlink), so I change to Celcom, but no signal also, then I change back to Hotlink - HUALA!!
Full bar until now.
I am like checking the signal every minute
Miss call a bxstxrd house number every 5 minutes
It works fine now!

I am not going to change the SIM card or turn off de phone now.
Take no risk. I spent the whole day trying. Wanna vomit already

hahaha i went through the same sort of thing.
But now with 0.9.5, all I do is go to BossPref after installing/rebooting/changing sim and do a fast respring and it works perfectly (no need to reboot or toggle the airplane mode)

I'm using an AT&T locked iPhone 3G (8GB) for my Celcom simcard.

I have managed to solve it via this process flow
After installing the yellowsn0w 0.9.5..
- 3G and Data Roaming off
- Reboot
- Airplane Mode On
- Reset Network Settings
- Airplane Mode Off (...searching...)
- Voila! Got my Celcom signal..!!!

So far, its quite stable. In fact the 3G signal is much better than before (when I use turbosim solution on FW 2.1)

Earlier I have tried the method of using the "yellowsn0w -c" etc command but it doesn't work.

I have been monitoring this progress since I bought my iPhone 3G in August 2008.

Guys, can please provide a full working instruction yellowsn0w unlock for DIGI, MAXIS and CELCOM so i can put it on first post. Too many ways to do an unlock is pretty confusing for others to follow as yellowsn0w keeps updating.

So a full instruction of steps to unlock for DIGI, MAXIS and CELCOM. Then me put up ya..Thankzz..

i have put up some latest unlock method on 2nd post and i hope it works. If not, do let me know k..

Sorry Edoras, it did not work for my iphone. Im using the same phone as yours (except mine is a 16GB) and celcom simcard.

can explain further?

when i put the airplane mode on, and resert the network settings, the phone reboot and i keyed in the pin to unlock. then the airplane mode is off...and nothing happen.

any ideas?

im going to sleep after this. already 5.18 am.....belum tidur since yesterday.

The only difference is that I have disable the PIN LOCK. This is what others in Hackint0sh have also recommended. Please disable your simcard PIN and try again.

I tried with the Celcom SIM, "NO SIM" oso..
Habis...

Mine is still OK but still have this problem of "Caller ID" issue. I thought the FW 2.2 might have solve this problem, eh? Anyone facing similar problem?
