QUOTE(diamondclow @ May 11 2011, 03:44 PM) Currently I'm facing a quite difficult situation where I might not getting up my salary for this month In my letter offer (for my current company) stating that I need to give 2 months notice period if I'm billable. This is the part where keep me stuck in here. I'm not sure about this part so I'm tendering 1 month notice period early of this month. And my tenure with my current company barely reach 3 months. I don't see any solid reason I need to tender 2 months notice but HR really can't release me earlier (1 month). What I can do to overcome this problem? I doesn't care to escape in unprofessional way but I think there is a way for me to resign and still getting my this month salary, right? Your so-call unprofessional might bring you deep shit. Read the terms of resignation under your employment again. Then share with us what is written there in order for us to give advises.

1 month notice for non billable and 2 months notice for billable employee. I am consider as billable because based on customer office but still in probation period. Main reason I resign is spoiled shift schedule and manager seems to bias towards his favorite staff.
We all entitle for shift allowance but almost half of the team never work on shift basis.
Now I already tender my resignation letter and waiting to start at new workplace.
Should I just leave them or work for free until at the end of this month?

QUOTE(furryfluffy @ May 10 2011, 11:58 PM) Next time u will need to submit resignation letter again to ask for increment? .........think that is the best way, coz normal company will only increase RM50 to RM150 per year What else u r not happy with at the current company other than pay? ........ the job scope is complicated and daunting How is the new company compared to this current company? .... new company easy job...... Added on May 12, 2011, 1:34 amQUOTE(cutegal0886 @ May 11 2011, 10:01 AM) Agree... u need to submit resignation letter only give u a counter offer match with new company... ( that is why, if i go ask direct the % for increment is lower, sure boss say your performance ...... need to write a good report to HR....... but with LO from other company ... no need to write long/ good report... just counter back the other company offered pay ( either same / higher ) if u dun do this action.. mean ur still same salary from 1yrs ago...( i think very possibly ) I think u better think probably... whether worth to work for them anot ( job is happy coz not monotonous, many things to learn coz it is tremendous complicated job, however one thing is the salary doesn't match the work done... the only thing I am not happy about and no increment after confirm ) Added on May 12, 2011, 1:38 amQUOTE(furryfluffy @ May 11 2011, 01:40 PM) Let's say the company does give increment.... and if u r not happy with it, do u tell the boss/manager? ( yes, happy if same or better higher then marker rate, but frankly salary no diff from fresh grad.) This post has been edited by azurebluesky: May 12 2011, 01:38 AM

If u wanna leave early, pay back the notice with ur salary. If u leave before the end of a full month request for prorated salary. No need work for free.

QUOTE(sivapc @ May 16 2011, 01:37 PM) hi guys. just need few information. my contract says i have to serve two months of notice period. and i've received a offer from another company and they want me to join next week. i know there's no way to escape from the contract or the notice period, but is there a way to reduce the notice period (like talking to the manager to release early)? i was just told that if i want to leave early, i have to pay for the rest of the contract. i'm at the cross roads now, and i will have to sacrifice my dream if i have to go through the notice period / pay for rest of contract routine. please advice and thanks in advance. You have agreed and signed the contract earlier by binding to the t&c stated on the contract. Thus, you can either pay for the short notice or serve the full notice. Alternatively, try to talk to your hr or boss.

QUOTE(jeehouhee @ May 19 2011, 08:52 AM) which mean i only can leave on 20 of Jun ? U can leave immediately by compensating ur employer with one month salary in lieu of notice. Or deduct whatever annual leave that u have to be released earlier

there will a pay-out of bonus in end of June for the closing of FY10/11 performance, am i still entitled for the pay-out? or HR will cut me out from that? can they do that?

What position & department r u in? This post has been edited by furryfluffy: May 22 2011, 12:14 AM

Any incomplete month salary will be prorated. Bonus given out is for previous financial year. They cant deduct from ur salary, unless they are really so stingy u r still entitled to get ur salary for 27 working days when u leave the company b end of june.
