yes its correct. Do get your info from www.apple.com/batteries
my experience is that it will re-charge only from 85% or thereabouts... EDIT : typo This post has been edited by xaw5126: Sep 24 2009, 07:51 PM |

hi, just bought my first macbook white 2 days ago. apple claims that the battery life can last for 7 hours, but in my experience, my battery only last for max 5 hours... is this normal? or i should bring my mb for checking?

QUOTE(Jing-leBelle @ Nov 19 2009, 03:20 PM) Erm, I don't really understand. it is perfectly fine (in fact recommended) to connect ur laptop to the ac power the whole time. the more u discharge and charge it will increase the cycle count and this is what determines ur battery life. if im not mistaken by the 300th cycle ur battery should be able to retain about 80% of its initial capacity. for me id immediately change my power source to ac once the battery goes below 60% and when im at home ill connect it to ac power 24/7. i do the callibration every 1 month. So is that ok to plug in AC charge whenever i switch on the macbook? recently i used the MB under battery until 10% oni i plug in AC. >.< is that the wrong method? |

Actually not only charge cycle determine the battery life. Soon after the battery left the factory it's life is decreasing. So no battery will last forever (at the moment). It's just a matter when will it happen.
Having a good practice on usage will prolong the life. For all new MacBooks, the battery is internal and meaning it's connected whole time so discharge happen even you are not using the Mac. I'm happy if the battery lasted 3 years. Else I got ACPP. |

![]() Does this mean that my macbook white's battery is dead? In fact when I turned around the macbook and try to press the battery light indicator, there is no sign of light coming of. If it's dead, and if I don't have ACPP, what can I do? Can I call Apple and ask for servicing? If in this case, approximately how much will they charge for it? Thanks in advance for any help. |

can u try to find some1 who has a macbook white as well? not the unibody model of course. borrow their battery n see if it works. also ask them to use ur battery too.
try to determine whether if ur battery is dead, or ur battery compartment got problem or not. |
