I changed my MacBook's (white, plastic) battery after using it for the first year. I've been using the new battery for about 2 years already and iStatPro and System Profiler shyows that my battery's health is "100%". Btw, I'm using the first launched MacBook (white, plastic) which is MacBook 1.1, if not mistaken.

Btw, I'm using the first launched MacBook (white, plastic) which is MacBook 1.1, if not mistaken. Same as me, changed for a new one about a year, and till now it's showing perfect health. Actually above 100% at times. BUT it does hovers around 90%-100% some times. Readings are not totally accurate all the time. Better to test AFTER doing a calibration, that shoud be more accurate. QUOTE(ignis fatuus @ Dec 24 2008, 04:05 PM) Charge cycle? how la? Please throw in some light. Go to System Profiler under Power, there are details of your battery there including charge cycle. Wei is right, battery health should be tied with charge cycle and not how many moons anyone had used it. This post has been edited by civic98: Dec 24 2008, 04:10 PM

Things about rechargeable battery is when you keep recharge it when it's never depleted, the memory somehow get "mixed-up" or forgotten how "deep" it can go (the full capacity). So, by doing a complete "charge cycle" (full charge then use it until your mac goes to sleep itself) will help to refresh the memory.
Since you're are pretty sure you've done full recharging I think the reading should be correct.
To my understanding, in order to able to get claim for battery it must be depleted to below certain % at certain period of time.
Anyway, if you still unhappy with the battery, you should call up AppleCare helpline instead of waiting for our reply in forum. All we can do is type & click, that won't help your battery.

I always calibrate my battery every 6 months by following the method shown in Apple's website.
