However, I've got some information about this. one of the Apple specialist quotes me 1190 and one that I found on internet only 900 but he said there might be minor uneven, dust or scratch after replace. Is this normal to screen replace?

Based on what I read, 1K+ for MBA screen replacement seems normal to me.

I see, thanks for answer rclxms.gif because yesterday I actually did call to machine and the staff told me the price will be about 1500-2000. It's really scared me. Lol

IMO, if it is 2K, you better buy a new MBA, plus you will get a better battery life on it too.

Repairing Macs can be expensive and FYI, replacing battery on your current MBA will cost you around MYR 500+, IIRC.

Yup, you are right. Actually, why is the repair price is so over for Apple? cry.gif
May I know, what application are you using to protect your Mac? Beside this, due to the needs. I am thinking of install Microsoft Office on MacBook, but some of the people told me this might slow down the MacBook. Is this true? I tried to search on internet but answer supporting both side yes and no.

Apple products are premium products after all, maybe that's why. Plus it's not a common laptop, so not many shops can find the parts and have the skills to do the repair for you.

For protection, right now, I only use avast! on my Mac, that's all.

As for Microsoft Office on OS X, I don't experience any slow down on my system (I have MS Office 2011 installed).

I got Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac installed too, not slowing at all.
Even running Windows 7 via Parallel Desktop 9 is smooth like butter.

If it is just slightly, then maybe it is not noticeable to most users.

check the grounding.. i mean your plug connecting to the power socket. you should not have the problem especially when using 3 pin plug power adapter. maybe try another 3 pin plug. If you are using 2 pin plug (US adapter), you will usually have this "shock".
