so do i send a complain email to them or what?
Call or email them if you have something to complain about. But as billytong says, the problem is to US / Europe. Unless others are also having problems with other parts of the worl. What is your connection like to US / Europe now?

try ping this atlantica.ndoorsgames.com

u will get 100% lost  at most time . That's holy for Streamyx

That site is not responding to ping requests. Not because of Streamyx.

I still have problems connecting to some US sites. They are so horribly slow. Screamyx Tech Support told me that it's the sites' server problem. I don't buy it at all. It cannot be such a coincidence doh.gif, obviusly it's a Turtlemyx problem.

I also still get horrible latency on World of Warcraft. For that TMnut claims WoW servers block certain Malaysian IPs. They came to this conclusion because many WoW players call to report same problem. Their logic is since many users have same problem TMnut is blameless. What bullshit?! rclxub.gif

119 IP is good.

60.x = NG

seems like different IPs are routed differently..

I am on the phone with the 9515 for about 30 minutes now. I am pushing for answer since the call attendant keep giving me 'not sure' 'don't know' 'in progress' as answer.

Seems that they're not treating this issue as an big technical problem, but rather they're treating this problem more like 'isolated case' where it takes '2 working days' to solve every issue.

forget foreign sites, i ping their own dns server also (202.188.0.133) also I get timeouts roughly once every 10 pings. They cant even maintain their local network, how are we to expect good service to international sites

No, it's another flat-out lie from TM tech support.

The same sites that are unusable via Streamyx are perfectly fast via VPN.

Frankly, I would be happier if they were lying, which would mean they might know what is actually wrong and just dont want to tell/admit to us what it is. However, I suspect, they dont even know/realize that something is wrong, and the reasons they give are on "the first bullshit excuse i can think of" basis

When there is no solution yet, there is only hope...

Here is an excerpt from TM reply.

=====
The technical team is now handling this issue and they are still running the investigation in order to rectify the issue.
=====

Assuming that they are using proper English to mean what they say, I read the "...in order to rectify the issue." as a confirmation there is a problem and they are investigating it further in order to fix it. I hope it does not mean they are just checking whether there really is a problem.

But then again, this reply on Friday evening could mean, please wait, its the weekend, please wait, we will look into this next week... ???

Connection over here in Sri Petaling seemed to have improved all of a sudden. I can load most links now relatively ok.

Past couple of weeks was horrible.

I've been testing for the last 1 hour since my last post. There does seem to be some improvement. I am getting 300+ ms for US sites and 400+ ms for UK sites. Those used to be 250+ ms and 350+ms. So hopefully it will improve even more.

Maybe TM has finally figured out how to fix this. Or they have asked their peering partners overseas to check on links. I did mention the Savvis network in US to the Service Recovery Team earlier today. Sites located there were pinging at 550+ ms, now at 350+ms.

However, I also notice some sites that seemed ok previously are now a bit slower. For example, the Mzima network in US. Maybe TM swapped some cables...

TM, if you are really doing something to fix this, please continue. You are not quite there yet. If you sent divers to pull and shake the undersea cables, give it a few more tugs...

Or is this just that Streamyx users have gone home for the weekend or are out partying and hence the lines are less congested?? Can't help but be skeptical in this case...

Can you post ping times for savvis.net and mzima.net?

Then disconnect, reconnect with another IP and try again?
