you ppl seem to hav a lot of tricks to tame hamster, but as it is hamsters don't like to be handled and they are the happiest in their chages...
i've had squeaky for 1 yr now and i tried a lot of tricks but never managed to impose any control on him sweat.gif ....
he is the fiercest WW in his own cage (100%bites if i wanna pick it), but when i manage to take him out he can be very tame, at the point that he rests on my bed and let me pet him freely laugh.gif but just if he is in the mood!
so u see... hamsters have their own personal rules and moods,
the more u respect them the longest and healthiest they stay. icon_rolleyes.gif

Uh, if a hamster makes grunting noises it means it's scared? Minmin (or muimui see how) was grunting when my dad was talking near the tank

yeah i've been bitten really hard when trying to clean up squeaky, he did nto agree with my methods i guess sweat.gif
but he is a WW so rather small, not so much blood spilled. i think you must have disturbed ur hammie from sleep or mayb ur hammie is feeling sick (stomachache, other ache... something), that's why it attack u. animals don;t attack without reason... normall men do that...
dun be sad, try make peace with ur little one k icon_rolleyes.gif

i hav problem where my WW hammies doesn't want to eat pallets in their food. currently I'm giving them 'Vitakraft Nature Dinner for Hamsters'. they love it and will eat all the other things inside but not the pallet(the green one).
such a waste la coz after few days still cannot finish it then i hav 2 throw it away. even b4 this i used to giv them prestige oso they dont like to eat the pallet..
anybody have any problem like this? my hubby said they r very picky with their food. such a spoil hamsters doh.gif

Give them less, a lot less. WWs eat about half a desert spoon minimum. Hamsters will eat what they don't like when they're forced to. I know it sounds rather cruel but it's the only solution for this issue blush.gif
