No sure if anyone notice .. if u introduce a new female to a old pack ( 1 m & 1 F) , % of they fight are less , but if u introduce another male , World War 4 start ...

My experiece , i introduce 5 WW ( 2 M & 3 F ) frm diff shop into 1 tank . first 2 week no fight , last Sunday 1 male kena wallup kaukau till i hv to isolate the fella . The remain Male now is the newly crown King with 3 wifes biggrin.gif

Yeap.....

I think it depends on luck.....I experience it myself. I Previously got 2 RC 1 male 1 female..they lived together for few months as a pair. Then the Male died...i str8 away get a male replacement for her. Directly put them together and no fighting occured. (maybe Because from the same shop?) - Saying to each other "Hey Gurl, Long time dint see you" hehehe

Then i saved 1 female from a friend of mine, a RC to. I introduce them by putting the cage side by side with the grill facing each other. Then, i open the door and put all 3 together in 1 cage.

The male str8 away go to the new female and start "sniffing" trying to make love...The new female like "Tak bagi" then the male keep on stalking the female everywhere she go.......The old female a bit scared but did not attack, only on defense stance.

Now all of them get along together. Still at some certain point got the squeeking sound but no harm was done.

or maybe if that doesn't work also...just give her 3--4 days of time to settle in nicely and get used to the surroundings...then,,,maybe place her in a playpen...you sit in the playpen too...let her explore the playpen and climb on you...you must make sure that you don;t get nervous....just a small sacrifice only....you sit in the playpen...let her explore and run where ever she wants...then...you place the food in front of you and see if he comes near you.

i use toilet rools too..the same brand that you bought...i guess that's better and cheaper and definitely cheaper...and for the chipsi bedding i'm quite unsure...i guess it has lower level's of phenols which i think won't be that harmful(because it is from european pine)...just try to avoid anything that has spruce, fir or pine..and also cedar...
my post wouldn't be that helpful..just wait till others post their point of view..

Would it be grooming rather than scratching? Pine bedding don't cause them allergy reactions but respiratory problem after long term used. Could you maybe take a photo to show us and we will tell you whether your hamster is scratching or grooming themselves. It's way too different from this two actions. I wonder how much you need to spend on that expensive toilet rolls bedding as they are good to make the toilet paper into small small pieces and it will be wet and dirty after few days, that may cost you even more if you only use that as bedding. Some of us only give toilet papers for them to make they nest but no bedding.

blink.gif I dont use Toilet Rolls as bedding i last time put in there for him to nest..He like to drag the tissue inside his sleeping hideout and use it like bed...

It uses its Back Legs 2 scratch and sometimes bites (nibbling i think) and use his hands to like errm...Hit hes face..I think rubbing hes face something like that i know thats grooming im just concerned about the scratching! but it only lasts 4 like 10 mins! nod.gif rclxub.gif

Edit : Btw...I cant take pic cry.gif i got no camera + my phone left @ my aunts house doh.gif how de la T_T

Edit 2 : No one say anything bout my bedding yet? Ok or not ? blink.gif

i will try to avoid anything with pine....but from a forum that i normally go to said that:European pine (which I assume that is as it is German) is safe, it has much lower levels of the phenols that can be harmful to hamsters.

chipsi is safe to use no worries.

but for syrian its better u use corn cob or BC. they may be abit pricy when u buy, but it can last u very long. end of the day. u may spend less smile.gif

Anyone would like black syrians? I'm not selling but recently a petshop I know got some adult breeders dumped at his shop.... he pity them so letting go at RM5.... as you can see, the price is cheap till will become snake food. I'm not sure if any are left, I manage to get hold of 3.... blacks are rare.... so it would be a pity of they become a snake's dinner. If I go back, I would rescue back more but coz of space, I cannot keep all. So anyone who would like to volunteer? And this is if there are any left if I go back to the shop this coming week.
