My hamster bought from somewhere in KL town, when its lenght still sized about..1 fifty cent coin and a 10 cent coin together is now really healthy, it has been 1year since i bought him smile.gif

winter white btw.

i feed him everything i get from the prestige hamster food smile.gif..

so..i was wondering..howcome my hamster often makes himself stuck between the cage railings and the wheel? im using safari..the big green wheel.

also, sometimes he makes little sqealy noises..off and on..but not often

well,uh....i had the same prob too...smoe was very shy and was reluctant to come onto my hands and always hides away...
perhaps, try placing some delicious treats like broccoli, sunflower seeds, tofu, etc on your hands and see if he comes onto it...practise this everyday...and also, try whispering to him so that he can get used to your voice...

The pet shops don't care about them only care about making $$$. Also space is restricted too. Its impossible if they want to put each in a tank of its own.

They are still young, their solitary behavior are nt tat strong yet
Wait till they grow older they will start acting aggressively and fight each others
I'd seen a petshop with syrian munching their tankmate

What about Campbells? I been keeping my campbell hammy from small.. alone for the past 1 and half year. Would it be a good idea to intro another campbell to his tank? Can tolerate or not?

why don't you try tempting her with food....just place the food in front of him/her...then move the food untill the cage door and untill he/she comes out onto your hands.....

Better not. Campbells and WW are quite territorial and when it comes to new tank mates... it can be a risky act to intro another one. It depends on luck too coz some may not attack the new comer. It is better and wiser for you not to give it a tankmate. Also... it is near its lifespan.... Campbells go to about 2 years....

Yeap.....

I think it depends on luck.....I experience it myself. I Previously got 2 RC 1 male 1 female..they lived together for few months as a pair. Then the Male died...i str8 away get a male replacement for her. Directly put them together and no fighting occured. (maybe Because from the same shop?) - Saying to each other "Hey Gurl, Long time dint see you" hehehe

Then i saved 1 female from a friend of mine, a RC to. I introduce them by putting the cage side by side with the grill facing each other. Then, i open the door and put all 3 together in 1 cage.

The male str8 away go to the new female and start "sniffing" trying to make love...The new female like "Tak bagi" then the male keep on stalking the female everywhere she go.......The old female a bit scared but did not attack, only on defense stance.

Now all of them get along together. Still at some certain point got the squeeking sound but no harm was done.
