treflip, i was wondering how long did your APC take for it to stretch to a comfortable size, assuming you size down. I bought a 26 (my true waist is 30 or 31), and it's really, really tight, and i am wondering if i should let go and buy another pair in 27, or hang on to it. Thanks in advance.

nope, it's not a gripper zipper. it's a normal zipper with "LEE" on it.

wow u went for 26?! that's brave dude haha. i'm the same waist size as you too, my APC NS were 27 and it was perfect, tight at first but after a month it stretch out nicely. i'd suggest u size up.

yeah, which is why i plan to sell it, and get a pair of imperial dukes now.

Nice fit on the lee's. i once had a pair, made in tunisia, bought for 15 pounds. love them.

Thanks for the advice odynvovk, appreciate it. I got the New Standards, and i cant button the top button for the first day, but after wearing them for a couple of hours, i can now button them all up.

However, filling the pockets with wallet, keys, and mobile phones are a pain (literally). I have decided to sell the 26 pair, before i ruin them completely, and order a 27 maybe. I decided to forego the imperials because i prefer the fit of NS better.

Luckily, my package is not showing. Well, i am just aiming for a clean, slim fit, without looking too hypebeasty, if you know what i mean. I am not tall, around 5'8, so i don't want the jeans to end up looking too baggy as APC stretches out a lot isnt it.

wait, i thought tagged size 26 is actually 28? i am confused really. I wear 30 in most, if not all pants, some are 29 even. So i don't really know how much exactly did i size down. So i assumed it's three, for example, true waist 31 (to give some allowance), would be 29 in apc, and 26 would be 3 down, is that correct? :-S

yes, you are correct. a.p.c has this vanity sizing policy on their jeans (im not sure why but maybe they want to make large ppl feel slimmer, lol) thats why they have a smaller tagged size than the actual size itself. but sizing down on a.p.c means sizing down from the tagged size. not the actual waist.

yeah... that's the real answer

sizing down mean you need to size down from the tagged not from you true waist.

as an example if your true waist is 31 so size down 2 mean you take size 29 on the tagged.

size down 1 for regular fit
size down 2 for slim fit
size down 3 for snug fit
size down 4 if you want your ball stop producing sperm

I need some advice with regards to the Nudie Jeans. I am planning to get a pair of washed Thin Finn Crinkles Skinny Jeans. My actual waist size is 29, should I go for the tagged size 29? or should I size down the tagged size to 27?

nudie thin finns are true to size (tagged). thus, it is safe to go for ur actual size. but if ur worried that itll stretch albeit a little, size down one is enough since its already a skinny fit.

thanks for the advice. in fact i was thinking of getting tagged size 30 as I am worried it will be too skinny. would you recommend this?

again..lemme say this..if ur planning on buying pre-washed jeans you shouldnt be worried about the size..u can buy ur true size coz there arent such thing as shrinking/stretching issue (although there might be a bit of stretch but most of the time there wont be any). all that about the sizing down shit is applicable only if u buy raw/dry ones...

and to answer sembilan...yea dude i sized down 3...u sized down 4?? man!! youre the man!! hehehe...but i think its best if u bought a size 27 at least...i have a waist size 30..i bought the 27 and it hurts at first...after a few days of wearing it hard it stretches out and it became comfortable...when i meant hard it didnt mean that i went hiking in em hehehe....try going to bed with it..sit at home the whole day in it...do stretches in it...but dont be surprised after atleast a month of wear u'll find that u will need a belt hehehe...my 27 did actually fall off my butt when i ran once in them...that shows how much it stretches...but then again...it depends on what kind of cut ure looking for as well...if u wanna have that skinny look but not comfortable in sizing down 4 might as well u get ur self a nice pair of petite standard...i assume u bought the new standard?

goldlion dude!! ur lee's are dope!! classic cut man!! hehehe

btw anyone here ever bought a pair of levi's stf? not the selvage ones but the ones made from wide modern looms? its cheap!! and the fading and the hue it produces which i saw in mynudies are quite awesome!! but then again nothing beats the LVCs hehehe
