thanks for the approval dude . it's a 101z model, not a Lee Riders. these are quite slim cut, very similar to Nudies Slim Jim. i'm giving it 2 yrs cuz i only get to wear jeans on weekend. my APCs went for about 1.5 yrs and only got minimal fades. too bad they're too small for me now, or else i'll wear them down even further. i've passed them down to my gf already haha

but the selvage edge looks off...not about the half selvage but i mean the edge on the selvage side...i can see abit of frayings..it looks like the selvage was produced by stitching a section of selvage look cloth down the middle of wide loom denim...correct me if i'm wrong or take a closer more detailed picture of the edge hehehe

got them Lees as a gift on xmas. apparently it's from s'pore but i dunno where (my gifter doesn't wanna reveal). the selvedge is what they call a "fake selvedge" in sufu haha. even though it looks stitched on but trust me they're really the edge of the denim fabric.
most Lees i know are also sanforized but not this pair. the pics above were taken after a 1 hour hotsoak and it shrank a size. the best indicator of whether a pair of denim is unsanforized or not is to look out for leg-twist. my pair twisted to the left cuz it's left-hand twill. most raw jeans out are right hand twills therefore they'll twist to the right. sanforized denims will never have leg-twists.
anyways, if i recall correctly, when Tangs first opened in Pavilion a few years, they stock a similar pairs but it was the Gold Label Lee 101z for RM299. wanted to pick up a pair but no size. mysteriously after less than a year...it all dissappeared. i think becuz they realized that they were selling them for too cheap cuz market price was about USD120.
my chain-stitch were done in campbell plaza, 1st floor. the only godamn place in KL that does it haha

thanks OdynVovk for that link. quite informative.
normal altering would cost anything from RM10-30. depends on wat u wanna do. as for which side of tapering, they can do either way (inseam or outseam). even single or double-stitching inseams also they can kow tim
