at least 40% off current retail price is my guess.
do check out WUS/pmwf/timezone/watchnet to get an idea of whats out there.

eg here is a Generation 1 Ball Fireman Night Train, was sold at ~US$1100 this Jan.
http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=356448
*
strangely, the Night Train Generation 1 is seen as even more popular and harder to find...if not mistaken, the lume is more colourful in the Generation 1...

but this is not to say the Generation 2 is inferior...

all the best in your sales bro HW...perhaps you can pm me ur best price and i try ask around...cheers!

how much does the servicing cost? this model out for 4yrs already?
patryn33 - i can tell by your posts that you know watches very well.

you are correct, these's PAM's were selling for less than half price until Stallone made them popular.

the model has gone under several revisions over the last four years - actually there was a PAM 00196, which was replaced by the PAM 00250. Nearly identical with a few differences.

My model was made in 2008, and I just recently sent it to service (still under warranty). Without warranty, minimum service costs about RM 2000.

QUOTE(Jason @ Mar 17 2010, 10:55 AM)
the watch is awesome because of its price? shakehead.gif in time you will learn the awesomeness of a timepiece is not reflected by its price. A Ball Hydrocarbon Engineer, 5x less than the panny, is also awesome and would give the panny a run for the money.
*
hehe Jason - I think he was just trying to find a way to complement.

I chose the watch because of its history, presence, and also because it's not too "mainstream" but not too exclusive where most people do not know what it is. Also, fellow Paneristi are a bit different from other watch guys. It's quite common to see some with a box full of a dozen or more Panerai. They'll own a few IWC, AP and other marque's, but seriously, a box full of Panerai's.

As far as a timepiece, there are watches that are 1/10 the price (Hamilton) that use the same exact ETA Valjoux movement. In fact you have to spend RM 100k to get a true Panerai movement.

For me a watch is a symbol of status. Women wear handbags, jewelry and shoes. Men only have watches...and perhaps pens ( I collect pen's as well ). Sometimes at my age, it requires something substantial, like an expensive watch, to gain credibility from people twice my age, that I have to do business with.

thats great! the 38mm series are on base on ETA 2895-2 whereas those 46mm are based on ETA 2824-2.
personally I like the 2895-A movement better.
anyhow, its like a trend today.. even ppl with lady like wrist (small) they still wanna wear a 42-44mm watch.

what do u mean by other watch guys?
its not uncommon to find those ardent watch collector to collect a box full of a certain brands or a particular kinda vintage watch regardless of price.
if u been to one of those US watch shows u know what I am talking about.. u even find ppl collecting cheapo vintage timex watches.
some only Japanese eg only collect citizen campanola complication.

have $$$, anything is possible.

today, its kinda "mainstream" loh... any kid who know a Tag or Seiko would know a Pammy.. I have to say brand awareness is along with the 5 match stick. ulu brands would be Girard Perregaux, Ulysse Nardin, Graham.

Hublot “Liberty” Bullets, by the Confrérie Horlogère
The Confrérie Horlogère division of Hublot represents the watchmaker’s efforts to push the boundaries of watch design and engineering. Among their latest feats is the Liberty Bullets time piece. The watch features a Tourbillion design as well as the ability to be worn both as a bracelet, pendant or simple pocket watch. The watch’s body is a combination of a titanium tip and black aluminium base.
