You can't compare the iPhone to the N97, simply because they target to different people.
N97 is targeted to tech freaks, people who want all the function cramped into a stylish and sexy shell. N97 is also targeted to users who want the best of the N Series and E Series.
iPhone, however, is targeted to a niche market - the Apple fanboys. People who know their stuff in technology will never look at the iPhone twice, simply because even the Nokia N95, the N97's predecessor 2 generations ago, can even out-function it by miles.
So, yeah. It's different.

I have N97 and also Iphone 16GB..both are different kind fone..if i want to sms more..use N97 and if i want to surf the web more...used Iphone..

for me, the best part of this phone is wifi connection. in my room I can't connect wifi with iphone but this phone, yes.

I also have this prob before...N97 can detect but not iphone 3G for WIFI...weird ah..hehehehe
