Bought for my other half one - White color.. Tried all the functionality.. and so far no issues except for the slide key (lock\unlock) when u try to unlock it will be unlocked but no backlight.. some of them face the same issue here as well. Guess it would be fixed on the next firmware update. Other than that I'm satisfied with my purchase

Widget can be streamed via WLAN. Just ensure that you have properly authenticate to the WLAN. Meaning you are not piggy back-ing on other peoples WLAN . I have seen a setting where you can choose which is your prefered connection WLAN or 3G in one of the menu .. Thinks its around Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity >
Destinations.

It does weight so if your 1st preferred connection is WLAN and its not available then it will go for the 2nd preferred connection : maybe another WLAN or 3G

try testing the connection WLAN connection in other places. If its working well then you might have to check your wireless router. Mabe the connection drops for some reason...

@darkImage12 ; Yea i bought the original.. Avaxx warranty. Dont think so the AP set is out. Please do test it but make sure its not the prototype ones. Some nokia center has prototype N97 which is not as good as the realesed one. We need to press the screen a bit harder to flip and its a bit slow, also the "." and " , " keys are in reverse order. Just some tips so you know its not the prototype that you are looking at

Whether with or without Java, the N97 just sucks!!
My fren who has been using the phone for more than a week now also feel
upset & frustrated with its laggy performance.

The most disappointed thing is its battery, fully charge for a night then the next
day the phone started to beep with low battery warning at about 9pm, damn it!!!

All depends on what u want...

Iphone, according to many has the best touchscreen. But to get it in Mayalysia (legally), you gotta chain yourself up to a contract and pay obscene money to Maxis. Noticed lately that Maxis signal is getting from bad to worse? You don't need to tie yourself down with a contract if you buy the N97.

For me, Iphone is not exactly a business phone too. For one thing, it has no keyboard, it can't do multi-tasking, and there is no "homescreen" with substantial information, just menu screens. Although the N97 is not categorised as a business phone, it is actually quite good as a business phone, especially with the qwerty keyboard it has. The E71 keyboard is a bit cramped for me and the screen of the E75 is too small for me.

And for those people calling other people idiots (whether specifically or generally), go start another thread somewhere and you can have fun there using the word idiot/s. Just dun waste space and time here.

Just wondering, why didn't you get the Iphone in the first place? Or do u have one already?

You can't compare the iPhone to the N97, simply because they target to different people.

N97 is targeted to tech freaks, people who want all the function cramped into a stylish and sexy shell. N97 is also targeted to users who want the best of the N Series and E Series.

iPhone, however, is targeted to a niche market - the Apple fanboys. People who know their stuff in technology will never look at the iPhone twice, simply because even the Nokia N95, the N97's predecessor 2 generations ago, can even out-function it by miles.

So, yeah. It's different.
