not necessary when the distributor doesn't wanna deal with you, which i just encounter recently.

I went to RMA my Asus mobo with servex,
called them, they redirect me to Highpoint,

called Highpoint on what's the procedure,
the staff said just drop by and drop your mobo,

reached Highpoint, and end up the frontdesk staff said:
"We dont deal with end users, please claim your warranty via shop", (but in fact, there's acers laptop users at the frontdesk queuing for warranty/repair, contradicting huh?)
in my case it's All IT, end up paying All IT rm30 for "Handling Fee"! vmad.gif

FYI, Highpoint is sending they staffs to pickup the faulty hardwares from shops,
so it's ridiculous to say "The fee is charged for warranty's transportation"!

giasens you shouldn't paid the handle fee.because your mobo still under warranty from ALL IT .... and ALL IT should bare with the cost not customer..if your warranty over send for repair..den you have to pay for the fee

I had the same problem with giasens. Is there any other way to warranty ASUS motherboards besides being forced to pay processing fees which isn't cheap (RM50 or probably more) to the shop you bought it from. It isn't fair to us consumers since we are promised a 3 year warranty and ASUS Royal Club and Highpoint/Servex doesn't accept them directly from end user.

asus malaysia get 3 distri which is atek,servex n bts(build technology)

everyone also know lowyat sell cheap but no one will think about when warranty they will kena charge back...

Asus royal club can exchange 1 to 1 for user on 1st yrs only.
Highpoint is service center for notebook.

Gigabyte GC as I know only SDS carry, NT no have gigabyte psu.

malaysia ppl mah, want cheap only lolz..they never think about the warranty issues.
most lowyat shops they provide 1 year warranty only for their products.
Example: asus mobo and the hdd with warranty 3 years but lowyat they only provide u 1 year.
others 2 years although still under warranty, but they will still charge u RM30-50 for ''handling charges'',and so on.

Through your distributor, not just any distributor. Which one? You should ask the shop that you purchased the motherboard from.

The best which provide Full warranty is only Power Cube UPS (Uninteruptible Power Supply) by Right Power UPS, which, can track warranty record by its Serial Number. No receipt required. Just for info if somebody want to buy UPS. Had done many time with them for my company, and, my Finance decide to loyal with them because of the good service.

you can find storm88 here, he is the distributor for Seasonic products.
but I don't think they will accept end-user claim, so I believe sending it back to the shop is the best move.

One of my samsung F3s started giving out SMART events, so I thought I'd get it RMA'd. A check on samsung's website however reveals that my HDD is an OEM drive? Urgh.

Anyone ever tried to RMA directly from samsung with an OEM drive?

I will NEVER buy Seagate drives again. My RMA took about one month to get processed despite me reminding them every week, and the Seagate HDD now getting bad sectors again.

Should have stuck with WD.

IINM, they are few distributors for Thermaltake stuff in MY. Check for any stickers around the PSU or box? best is to send it back to the person you bought it from, cos most distro doesn't accept end-user claim. smile.gif

Has anyone tried to RMA their Asus mobo via the Asus Service Centre in lowyat plaza? Do they accept walk-in customer and what kind of information needs to be provided during the RMA?

hi,last year on the end of december i brought my leadtek gtx560 ti for RMA at viewnet.Now the RMA is complete but i cant go and take it cause im in sarawak.
the question is
in any chance, will they send it to sarawak by courier?
will they charge me $ because of the retrieve item within 3month policy?

hello guys, i wanna ask,about the postage to send the warranty to the shop we claim,do we need to pay both the postage for send and return warranty postage?

this is very troublesome, as when im in kl where i can just send the package to him to his shop, he still ask for postage (RM21). now im in sabah, i also need pay again, for another rm35.

Bought an Asrock motherboard. Send to VIEWNET(bestpoint) for RMA. Get back wrong revision of the mobo. Send back because can't fit the I/O plate also. Been 2 weeks already. Anybody know how to call asrock? Just to replace 1 wrong mobo (their fault) also takes so long?

as far as i know,sapphire is the slowest to return the rma card,due to lots of gc rmaed,mine rma 280x n 270x took 7-8 weeks but still ok,best i think is asus,3-4 weeks oredi got...my most unpleasant rma is from gigabyte for gtx 770,took 5 weeks to get back but after test the gc no display,so need to resent back n paid again, 7 weeks later got back,total 12 weeks cant use the card,very frustrated...

its not necessarily 7 weeks,maybe if your luck better it will take less than that...i remember the seller said during the time i rmaed my gc it took longer coz many people rma coz the gc overheat due to mining...

Update:
received my RMA sapphire HD 6790 today evening..pick up from Best point
They had to replace with similar card & received differ serial number for the replace card.

all together (from 15th Oct - 12th Nov 2014) @ 28 day

tested the card... hmmm... found the idle temp slighly higher (idle @ 53'celcius) with Card Fan @ 60%

Yup Idealtech can do it, lingloong i.e Dotatech also provide the service.

Owned it for more than a year. According to the Leadtek website, it is said that the warranty in Asia is 24 months, but according to Aoneplus (Where I bought it), they said warranty only one year. Which is true?

Ah. Is it common knowledge that leadtek has 3 years warranty? The website said so, but looks dodgy. Not stated on the box.

Another noob question, if I want to RMA my card, I have to send it to the place mentioned in the first page, do I have to bring the box and manuals etc.? (I understand that receipt is defo necessarily)

having asus HD7970 DC2 TOP, this is my 4th RMA. n now i got fed up. All RMA tooks more than 1month to settle, which get my nerve. So anyhow i can make refund? i am upset because asus keep replacing the card with their warehouse stock. all RMA card i get all got scratch, rusty, dust, missing screw.

my group of contacts also have such complaints.

ty sir! my card definitely more than 1 year, I have tried this afternoon removed card , put in , remove again put in again.. it worked. and then I shut off and went for dinner.. come back on, no respond on monitor when turning on.. then I repeat again remove , put in boot, remove again and put in now it working aagain.. im sure it have problem, ps: I tried plugging in to hdmi via my mobo when the video card show no signs. it works..
just that I hate what im facing now.. the card wan spoil like dun wan spoil ... just like ur car got problem but reach mechanic that time ok oledi then the mechanic ask u go home.. doh.gif

though do they entertain the warranty if the issue is just fan rattle?

Hi, Anyone got experience warranty to Intel?

I got one Intel NUC not function.
That device stay at Sabah, KK. Bought it from Viewnet. Izzit fill up the form in intel website and they arrange ppl to pick up? No charge?

Is it advisable to take away the msata, ram, hdd and wifi chipset before sending to them?

Recently, I send my Acbel PSU back to Gadget Zone Penang ( where I bought the PSU) for RMA as unit still within Warranty.
I was told that I need to pay RM50 for shipment to Distributor in KL.
I told him that its too expensive as courier cost is only ~RM10.
He turned around and told me to send by myself.
What type of customer service is that?
Anyone has bad experience with Gadget Zone?
What is your experience on PSU RMA charges?

sorry…now mostly send back to Thailand if process by distributor…if send it by yourself, for WD I dunno got any charges or not, for Seagate is FOC…

Recently I tried to sent my kaput Xonar DX to Jayacom, but refused as they only cover 1 year from shop.
Since I can't walk in to Asus Service Center, I had to RMA through another shop. Then today, I was informed that Asus has no replacement for it and I will only receive Credit Note from Asus. I'm not sure the exact amount I will receive, but the shop's staff said I can only receive 50% of the initial amount on purchase. Is it right for Asus to do this?

Seller do not want take responsibility...

Email MSI global, also asked to look for seller...

seller said salesman not contactable...

keep saying bios no warranty, they hav no idea what is a damn graphic card...

3 years local manufacturer warranty is use as advertising only

Based on your clue, I search and get that Intel have a few authorized dealer. From one of them, I found the following, which I can use as well to argue with online seller.

Buy RAM online can be dangerous, can be not original. Unless from reputable online store. But if RAM got problem, can send to them, Kingston RAM is Lifetime Warranty.

That a problem if need receipt for warranty which i don have, because i never think RAM will failed.
I not yet try to contact that number yet
As i post on other thread i found official store got selling, but expensive, and a normal seller selling cheaper, both i see high rating say can use

Took about 3 weeks, DDR3 1333mhz 4GB desktop to 1600mhz, he say that product discontinue,
