nimrod - Its not the freebies that i really missed (since I got some freebies from Mac Studio too)... but its more regarding using Machines to get the points for rebate (I'm a member).
Its worth RM 194 !! Arrghhh!! I can buy more accessories later with this savings...

What I am frustrated is that nobody can give me a hint that there is a promotion on 7th December during my call on the 5th Dec....*sigh* ....

@ Trong-FC
the renovations for the machines in 1U aren't complete, so we can't release the opening date just yet.
I believe it will be before Christmas, but that's just my own opinion...

@Edoras,
please check the T&C available on the machines website, it does mention that promo items are not part of the rebates program.

But the price of the MBP remained the same as regular price except that they have freebies. Do they consider that as "promo items" too?
I thought a "real" promo items when it is priced lower than the regular (example the recent sale of the older MBA and MB)

CODE
Accrual Award Level and Corresponding Reward
Accessories - 10% Rebate
iPods - 5% Rebate
Mac / ACPP (AppleCare Protection Plan) - 2% Rebate

Points redemption is awarded based on regular priced terms. Not applicable for products on promotion.

I asked at Epicentre for RAM upgrade, they quoted the same price as Apple Online Store which is RM485 (upgrade frm 2gb to 4gb). Seems like they are matching wth online store pricing.

Wow so expensive. I did mine at Lowyat but own memory. For precaution maybe can bring ur Macbook along and match till you found the right brand then buy. Very expensive though for RM485

hey bro thanks for the link biggrin.gif

"The 'late 2008' MacBook Pro officially "supports up to 4GB" of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM. However, that never stopped us from trying to stuff more in. We were able to expand our MacBook Pro 2.8 to 6GB by replacing one of the 2GB SO-DIMMs with a 4GB module (courtesy of Trans International)."

A 2.8Ghz MBP? wow...what about 2.4? u mean all MBP able to susport up to 6GB Ram...but do they have it in the open market?
