But that's just IT isn't it. Salespeople just fail to understand that their job is to ASSIST people who enter the store.

Instead they see people in the store as the source of their sales commission. And those who do not provide said commission are ignored. Its a failure to see the big picture, an emphasis on the short term profit versus long term gain.

Totally agreed! And I am one of those "customers" who likes to walk into a Mac shop and just wandering around and touch here touch there tongue.gif ...and yet walk out the store without purchasing anything but actually I am doing price and customer service comparison so that I can decide which place should I buy the stuff I want.

So if it happens that during my "wandering" session that time, the customer service sucks I will just walk out the store, for them I am just another guy which cannot provide sales commission, but actually it's a loss of sales smile.gif

So far, Machines customer service are not as bad as mentioned in the forum but I think it all depends on the sales person who serves you. If he/she is just another go for commission and no product knowledge type of person, then the whole Mac experience would not be good afterall. I did come across a few nice sales person at Machines and it's rare to find nowadays hahaaaaa! And I did come across some super blur blur sales persons as well plus some LCLY too tongue.gif

Overall, Epicentre still slightly better than Machines in terms of customer service!

Thanks for the clarification guys!
That means .. I have nothing to lose buying from other shops...

Hmmm...now thinking of upgrading the memory to 4GB.... How much its selling nowadays?

I asked at Epicentre for RAM upgrade, they quoted the same price as Apple Online Store which is RM485 (upgrade frm 2gb to 4gb). Seems like they are matching wth online store pricing.

I want to go a little off topic here...anybody have any experience with Epicenter before? I went to the PC Fair today and saw their boot. Price for the acessaries was quite good,  though, no discount on iMac or MacBook or others... They  just bundle it with free gift and free RAM upgrade... Anybody willing to share?
