On Dec 5 (Friday), I called several Machines outlet for the new MBA or MBP, but they said, they only have MB. They cannot tell when they can get the new MBP/MBA.
Thus, I bought the MBP at Mac Studio on Dec 6 (Sat).
Today, I saw the new advert saying that they have Christmas deals for the MB and MBP (from Dec. 7 onwards).
Damn!! I have a Machines Membership but I bought the MBP one day earlier at Mac Studio.

The Machines rep should have told me about the Christmas Deals when i called them on Dec. 5.... !!

And furthermore... I have Amex Card.... ! *sigh*

nimrod - Its not the freebies that i really missed (since I got some freebies from Mac Studio too)... but its more regarding using Machines to get the points for rebate (I'm a member).
Its worth RM 194 !! Arrghhh!! I can buy more accessories later with this savings...

What I am frustrated is that nobody can give me a hint that there is a promotion on 7th December during my call on the 5th Dec....*sigh* ....

err cmon,if they are not sure about the promo why shud they tell u? it was kept in wraps because a few of the resellers i went to said theres no promo for now and again edoras, machines membership clearly states theres no membership rebate points for promo items, its either u take the freebies or rebate, you cant be greedy and have both can u now?

I didn't realize we cannot get any rebates on promo items?
I did asked them on Sunday (Dec 7) and the counter said I can get rebate but didn't clarify anything regarding promo items... hmmm..

@Edoras,
please check the T&C available on the machines website, it does mention that promo items are not part of the rebates program.

But the price of the MBP remained the same as regular price except that they have freebies. Do they consider that as "promo items" too?
I thought a "real" promo items when it is priced lower than the regular (example the recent sale of the older MBA and MB)

I asked at Epicentre for RAM upgrade, they quoted the same price as Apple Online Store which is RM485 (upgrade frm 2gb to 4gb). Seems like they are matching wth online store pricing.

How about upgrading the MBP to a 6GB (max configuration)...?
Someone mentioned to me that its damn expensive....

6GB of RAM in the "Late 2008" MacBook Pro
Any problems? Speed penalty?

CONCLUSION
The 6GB configuration produced essentially identical benchmark results to the 4GB configuration in our 2.8GHz MacBook Pro. The difference ranged from -.5% to +1.7% or an average difference of +.28% or less than 1/3 of one percent. I call that negligible. Or, in other words, you should have no worries about a speed penalty imposed by non-matching memory modules and loss of interleaving.
It seems that the performance improvement is so negligible... hmmm.. not worth the upgrade to 6GB...

At Mac Studio he quoted RM500++ for two pieces (2x2GB)
