In term of picture quality, like in overexpose lighting condition, will panasonic lumix fz28 do better than normal point and shoot camera ? Will fz28 b able to compete with normal dslr side by side? Thanks ^^

Question:
1. How far Canon SX 110IS picture quality different from LX3 [too expensive for me ]??
2. Any other canon model which is lower price than SX 110IS but its picture quality is not much different?? (of coz the battery life must be reasonable)
3. Since Canon SX 110IS is powered by AA battery, does it last longer than normal Li-on battery, or shorter??
4. In term of size, does it suitable for traveling?? [still thinking about it ]

@cfcho, my 2 cents is to get the D60, newer body so features should be better. Think it has dust cleaning system while the D40 doesnt.

who says you cant find 40D anymore?
just go around shopping instead of asking here and you will know the real answer

sunnyzai, normally AA battery will have a shorter battery life compared to Li-Ion, but good thing is you can carry alot of AA with you
size?!? depends on you la. go shop test it.
i would say any pns camera can bring to travel since i carry a DSLR around

Basically my mind is on D90 @ first place, when i m trying to play around with D90 and A700 in the outlet ... A700 was stunning me for the vivid photos and the solid body ... somemore a700 is cheaper than D90 .. =(

besides, any other canon model (lower price) is comparable with canon SX 110IS in terms of pic quality..

sunnyzai, for that range of camera, the sx 110 is quite good.
the only competitor is panasonic TZ25
But the panasonic does not have manual control.
you can test both and see which one is better for you.

@hungry jack..why are you looking at D90 and A700?
never consider 40D or 50D?

40D is not that expensive actually.
if you can find it think it's about 3.3k or so with the 18-55 IS kit

way below your budget and can get more stuff with the rest of it
